Well, it finally happened. After what feels like a decade of "my uncle who works at Epic" rumors and blurry "leaks," The Simpsons are officially, actually, in Fortnite. And this isn't just a simple skin drop in the Fortnite store that disappears in 48 hours. Epic Games has gone all-in, launching a full-blown Fortnite Simpsons Season that's completely taken over the game for November. We're talking about a brand new map, a new mini Battle Pass, and a whole new way to play. It's a full Springfield takeover.
This mini-season will last for only a month, which is why Epic Games is going all-in with everything they were able to do with a Simpson collab. Giving the Simpsons their own season and map makes the collab more memorable than any other typical collab with just some new skins in the item shop. The new Simpsons season brings a lot of changes, so we've got a lot to unpack here. Let's dive right in!

The New Map: Welcome to Springfield. No, Really.
The absolute biggest change that the Fortnite Simpsons event brings is the island. The old Chapter 5 map is gone, and in its place, we have "Springfield Island." Dropping from the new Duff Beer Battle Bus for the first time is genuinely weird, in the best way possible. Epic has adjusted the art style game-wide, giving all models, including players, trees, and buildings, a heavy cel-shaded filter, and the result is spectacular. The art is absolutely stunning in how it looks like a cartoon. Everything is flat, bold, and bright, and there is the thick, heavy black border trademark of the style. It really does feel like you are running around in an episode, and it really is impressive.
The map has a diminished file size, and lately, lobbies have dropped from 100 to 80 players. The game's pace is affected, and in this case, is undeniably faster. There is next to no downtime at all in the game. The distance from landing to collecting a firearm to encountering an enemy seems to have reduced to record low times. Gunfire and explosions have become the most common sounds you hear. The experience is extremely chaotic while at the same time, brimming and full of energy. If you're looking to grab all the new cosmetics from the Fortnite store without any hassle, topping up at a trusted marketplace likeLootBar is always a solid move. It gets you in the game faster, so you can start exploring with one of the Simpsons on your first drop into Springfield.
New POIs in Springfield
Evergreen Terrace: Leaning on the kiddie pool kinda makes sense, right? You can land on the roof, chill, explode the garage, and fight inside the living room casually. Right off the bus, it's a death trap, but also a must to visit. After all, it's the Simpsons' house.
Springfield Nuclear Power Plant: Tilted Towers? This is the new one. This is a guaranteed hot drop, and if you survive, you'll be fully kitted out.
Cletus’ Corn Hole & Springfield Slurpworks: Right next to the rest on the town square, these are awesome spots for new players to grab new healing items. But these two POIs are sometimes hotly contested by players coming out from the box, so be ready for a fight.
The New Loot: Blinky Fish and Squishees
The entire loot pool has also been Simpson-ified. Your standard Assault Rifles and Shotguns are still there, but the healing and utility items are completely new. You can now find Krusty Burgers for health and cases of Duff Beer, which work just like Shield Splashes. But the real game-changers are the new utility items. First is the Super Squishee from the Kwik-E-Mart. Drinking one grants a temporary speed boost and, more importantly, unlimited tactical sprint. This is a huge deal for rotating out of the storm or just aggressively pushing an enemy squad. It completely changes how you can move across the map.
And we all know about the Three Eyed Fish from the famous animated show. Well, you can also find one of these in the game, and you can use the Three Eyed Fish to teleport a short distance. It is essentially a “get out of jail free” card that can be used whenever you’re in a risky situation. On the other hand, you might also be able to use it to teleport inside a box of a player who is trying to make a desperate escape or heal up.
On top of all these items, there are even more. Mythic items! But getting them isn’t exactly easy because they are dropped by eliminating the Evil Homer and Witch Marge NPCs that are roaming around the map. Challenging them drops the Mythic variants of the Tactical Shotgun and the Compact SMG.
The Mini Battle Pass: Homer, Marge, and... That Flanders
Surprisingly, the Homer skin isn't purchased from the Fortnite store. It's from a brand new Battle Pass. But this isn't a full 100-tier Battle Pass. Instead, it's a shorter, "mini-pass" that will run for the duration of the event (about a month). It's cheaper than a full pass and is absolutely loaded with the characters everyone wanted. The main skins you can unlock are:
Homer Simpson (with an unlockable "Evil Homer" style)
Marge Simpson (with an unlockable "Witch Marge" style)
Ned Flanders
To be honest, the main highlight of the event is that style for Ned. Yes, They. Did. It. You can unlock the Stupid Sexy Flanders skin from when he says, “feels like I’m wearing nothing at all” in the show and does a full-blown sprint.
This pass also introduces a brand new cosmetic type: Sidekicks. These are small, non-combat companion pets that follow you around, as the name suggests. The first one, ‘Peels’, a small banana-peel dog, is an early unlock in the pass. This is Epic clearly testing the waters for a new cosmetic category in the future, but nonetheless, a fine addition.
But Where's Bart? The Item Shop, Right?
You may have noticed a few key characters missing from the Battle Pass. Where’s Bart and Krusty? Well, Epic Games knows what they are doing, which is why they’re item-shop exclusive. They are not in the Battle Pass and are to be purchased from the Fortnite store using V-Bucks. The Bart skin is especially rad, based on a Treehouse of Horror episode where Bart is in a mech suit. And if you really wanna complete the set, good news! These skins will be in the shop for the whole month, so go toLootBar right now to get some V-Bucks to grab Bart and Krusty from the shop before the end of the month.
Conclusion
The Fortnite Simpsons event is an extraordinary crossover. It's not a cash grab, but rather, a sincere testament to the respect Epic Games owes to the show. The new items are genuinely fun and shake up the standard gameplay loop. The cel-shaded map is both a technical and an artistic masterpiece. The epic 80-player chaos is a well-needed stimulant after the regular battle royale.
But the whole Springfield map and this Fortnite Simpsons season are set to end on or around November 29. So, as with all good experiences, you need to start now. For players looking to complete the pass or grab those Item Shop skins before they're gone, LootBar is a solid place forFortnite top up.
