Welcome to Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2! This time, the Outlaw Keycard is your golden key (card) to the best and coolest loot yet! It lets you get into the Black Market backrooms packed with strong weapons, special chests, and brand-new characters. It doesn’t matter if you’re new or someone playing from day 1, this guide has it all. The process, is tedious, like all good things, but there’s always a better and more efficient way to do it- you can buy Fortnite V Bucks from LootBar to get even better loot. This includes many things like dice rolls and skins to make your journey even smoother.
What’s an Outlaw Keycard?
Think of the Outlaw Keycard as a VIP pass in Fortnite. It opens up doors to secret backrooms in Black Markets, special spots in places like Crime City, Magic Moses, and Masked Meadow. All these rooms are full of treasure, hiding powerful weapons that you can buy with Dill Bits (a new currency). Outlaw Chests are full of free bars, and you can even hire NPCs to fight alongside you. The keycard comes in five different rarities- common, uncommon, rare, epic, and legendary- with each level giving you extra perks. The better its rank, the better stuff you get.
Unlock the Common Outlaw Keycard
Getting the first level has actually already been done for you. When the update hit, the players teamed up to complete a community quest to rob 500 million vaults and managed to finish it. By mid-march, every player got the Common Outlaw Keycard for free. If you’re just joining, or are new, just load up a BR match, and the Keycard should appear in your inventory automatically. No need to hunt for it, it’s yours right away now. In case of a glitch where it doesn’t appear, just get into a match and crack a vault, that usually does the trick.
Find a Black Market to Get Boosts
Black Markets are special shops scattered around the map, and each has a locked blue door in the back. You’ll spot them near Crime City, Magic Mosses, and Masked Meadow. Once you jump from the Battle Bus, land close to one.
Walk up to the blue door and your keycard with glow, interact with it, and you get inside. It has small vending machines with loot inside it. It’s a small boost, but then things get an upturn when you level your keycard up.
Upgrade Your Keycard with Quests
To upgrade your keycard, you need to complete the Outlaw Keycard Quests. Open the Quests tab in the lobby, and look for the “Outlaw Keycard” section. There are four main quests, and each has five stages. These are the ones you’ll be doing:
- Rob Vaults: Vaults are in places like Outlaw Oasis or Shiny Shafts. You should always be prepared to fight as others are going to do the same. You need to open three vaults per stage.
- Defeat Bosses: You need to defeat 25 bosses per stage. Team Rumble makes doing this task very easy.
- Spend Bars: Spend 300 Bars on vending machines or Black Markets per stage. You get Bars from chests.
- Collect Medallions: Get 5 per stage. Defeat NPCs at vaults, or find them among loot.
Each stage you finish adds a level to your Keycard progression. Hit five stages (any mix of quests) for Uncommon, 10 for Rare, 15 for Epic, and 20 for Legendary. You’ll need to grind a bit - 20 stages total for the top tier - but it’s worth it. If you’re low on Bars or Dill Bits, a Fortnite top up can help you grab some V-Bucks to trade for in-game cash or speed through events. Keep at it, and your Keycard will shine brighter with every quest.
Keycard Levels and Rewards
As your keycard levels up, these are the new things you unlock:
- Common (0 Quests): It opens access to Black Market backrooms.
- Uncommon (5 Quests): It adds Outlaw Vending Machines and allows you to buy weapons using Dill Bits.
- Rare (10 Quests): It unlocks Outlaw Chests in backrooms. Open them to get free bars usually 50-100.
- Epic (15 Quests): Shopkeepers offer premium loadouts for a big Bar price. Although expensive, they’re really, really, really strong.
- Legendary (20 Quests): Outlaw Chests now drop a Legendary weapon and a Dill Bit every single match.
The Legendary Keycard is the dream. It starts every game with a mythic weapon in your hand. Grind all the quests, and enjoy all the Victory Royales.
Top Strategies to Farm Quests Fast
Here’s how to speed through to get legendary quickly:
- Vault Runs: Drop at Outlaw Oasis- it’s less crowded, and the puzzles are easy. You can easily solo it in under 5 minutes. Repeat this, and it becomes easy.
- Defeating Bosses: Play Team Rumble and hunt field bosses. You can easily beat them and get kills in a squad.
- Spending Bars: Go to Black Markets early, grab Bars from chests, and spend them. Pretty simple.
- Medallions: Get one, drop it, pick it up again. Repeat this five times for each stage. This is an epic glitch that Epic Games hasn’t patched yet, so use it while it lasts!
Public squads help cut time as well- more the players, quicker it’s done! Stick to BR or Team Rumble, and you’ll make progress faster than you realise.
Importance of Outlaw Keycards
The Outlaw Keycard isn’t just a flex- it changes your game. A Common one gets you in the beginning, but then the Legendary turns the match in your favour. Free Bars, premium loadouts, and a guaranteed top-tier weapon means you’re not just trying to get or gambling for loot.
Conclusion
The Outlaw Keycard is your key to ruling Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2. From cracking vaults to snagging mythics, this guide’s got you set. So, drop in, grab that Common Keycard, and grind your way to Legendary. The Black Market’s waiting - go claim your loot and show the island who’s boss.
