Explaining All Four Fishing Pier Event Tabs in Dark War Survival

Wilderness Fishing

The main tab of the Fishing Pier event is Wilderness Fishing. Once you choose a bait and start fishing, your line will go down into the ocean. You have to avoid hitting obstacles and get to the furthest possible depth as the line keeps falling. It’s a fun little min-game that gives you better rewards the deeper you manage to go. There are three main things to know about in this section.

Common and Premium Bait

Bait is the main resource for this event, and you’ll use it to send your rod into the ocean. There are two types of bait. One is Common Bait, which you can hold a maximum of 10 at one time. It refreshes every few hours for free. Common Bait will get you common or rare fish, treasures, and other rewards. It doesn’t have much depth unless you upgrade it.

Then you have the Premium Bait, which you can only get buying specific packs or passes during the event, or the event pass. Premium Bait will guarantee that the rarest types of fish and rewards spawn. This type of bait will always go more than twice as deep as Common Bait.

Fishing Items

There are four fishing items that make it easier for you to reach the deepest depths and get better rewards while fishing. You get these randomly as rewards or by purchasing them in packs:

  • Premium Hooks let you to take 2 additional hits while going deep.
  • Sensor Floats make rarer rewards brighter so you can spot them more easily in the ocean.
  • Spotlight makes it so that depths below 300m don’t get dark like they usually do.
  • Sonar Scanners allow you to choose a specific target that will 100% spawn during the next fishing run.

Line, Hook, and Rod

As you fish and get rewards, you’ll also get Fishing Coins and Fishing Points. You can use the Fishing Coins to upgrade your Line, Hook, and Rod. Each of these will increase how far the line can go and the odds of getting better rewards. You can level up all three of these to 10.

Angler’s Handbook

The Angler’s Handbook is this event’s version of the battle pass. You can use it to get small rewards with each level through event progress. This includes things like speed-ups, event-related loot, and other stuff you’d usually find in passes. If you buy the Advanced Angler’s Handbook you can get some better rewards, or the Legendary Angler’s Handbook which has the best rewards like lots of rubies, a legendary Hero fragment, and much more.

Angler Points Rankings

The Angler Points Rankings are this event’s version of a leaderboard. The more Fishing Points you get in Wilderness Fishing, the higher your ranking. The top three in each state will get crazy good rewards, including 30-day access to the new Legendary Ship of Theseus troop skin, which gives +20 Troop Capacity and +15% Troop Attack. Only players that pay a lot for Premium Bait and Fishing Items will be able to finish in the Top 3, though.

Aquarium

The Aquarium tab keeps record of all the Fish species, treasures, trash, and other things you collect while fishing. Fish, rare fish, trash, and treasure are all divided into four menus. Once you collect more and more of each reward, you’ll earn points in the Aquarium menu. All rewards are graded by stars. The higher the stars, the more points you’ll get for collecting that specific reward. Once you have enough points, you can get rewards.

80 points will be enough to get you 1K rubies and a Universal Legendary Hero Fragment, which is well worth grinding for. You also get bonuses for collecting enough of specific rewards. For example, collecting 10 different Treasures will earn you an S-Rank MK-012 robot decoration for your base. This decoration will increase Research Speed by 20%. Get Dark War Survival packs from LootBar to get more Fishing Items to grind for this event.

Conclusion

The event is friendly enough for free-to-play players since they can get some great rewards, and it’s even better for paying players. The mini-game itself is quite fun, and the event is enjoyable with or without paying for it. But, if you’re competitive and want to earn the best rewards, top up Dark War Survival ruby or packs through LootBar.
