What is the Identity V Christmas Winter Wishes event?
Launching to celebrate the holiday season, the Christmas Winter Wishes event will mark the return of previous holiday-themed costumes for players to get. The two stand-out features of the event are the new Christmas-themed map and the new outfits that players can choose from to get for free.
Firstly, there’s the new map. With identifiable features like a large hot air balloon, a Christmas tree, and even a building that says “Happy New Year,” the map’s frozen personality is sure to be a blast to play in.
Then, there are the two free outfits that players can choose from. These outfits include:
The B-tier Winter Chimes outfit for the Puppeteer
The B-Tier Christmas Concerto outfit for the Composer
The event will give the choice to choose one of the two. This means the one that isn’t chosen will be lost permanently. The good news is that there will also be multiple event store returns for players to purchase with the help of LootBar’s services.
Soul Weaver is also getting an A-tier Wintry Wish outfit during this event. In the event, Violetta lends her strength to help people rebuild a town that’s been ravaged by a blizzard. The town in question is likely the new Christmas-themed map. This limited-time costume will be available for purchase from the Illusion Hall through Echoes and Fragments.
All returning costumes in the Identity V Christmas Winter Wishes event
Like with most previous events, the Winter Wishes event will see the return of multiple fan-favorite Christmas-themed costumes. All of these costumes will be present in the event store for players to get their hands on.
All of the returning B-tier costumes include:
The Xmas Ensemble costume for the Gardener
The Xmas Ensemble costume for the Cowboy
The Xmas Ensemble costume for the Barmaid
The Xmas Ensemble costume for the Photographer
The Xmas Ensemble costume for the Entomologist
The Xmas Ensemble costume for the Sculptor
The Xmas Ensemble costume for the Coordinator
The Santa outfit for Hell Ember
The Christmas Magic outfit for the Magician
The Dark Xmas outfit for Smiley Face
The Abominable Snowman outfit for Guard 26
This isn’t all, as a handful of A-tier costumes will also be returning to the Identity V shop. These include:
The Christmas Reindeer costume for the Gamekeeper
The Silent Night Magician costume for Mad Eyes
The Star Seeker costume for the First Officer
The Christmas Party costume for the Evil Reptilian
Aside from all of this, players can also expect multiple Christmas-themed decorations to be acquireable. These decorations range from something as regular as a large display cabinet to the artistic snowman that perfectly fits in this holiday season.
When will the Identity V Christmas Winter Wishes event start?
The Identity V Christmas Winter Wishes event is slated to start on December 18, 2025. This is the same date as when Season 40 Essence 2 will start, which means that players will have their hands full with new content to enjoy on that day. It’s unknown how long the event will last, but it’s safe to assume that players will be able to get all of the available limited-time cosmetics until December 31.
Will Identity V have a New Year's event?
The big question on everyone’s mind is whether Identity V will celebrate the Lunar New Year. Unfortunately, there isn’t enough information to confirm or deny this. However, it has been confirmed that a livestream celebrating the holidays and Christmas will take place on December 19, 2025, just a day after the new Season’s essence and the Winter Wishes event start.
The livestream will apparently give players more information on what they can expect from 2026’s Valentine’s Day and Chinese New Year celebrations. Players will also get more information about the Call of the Abyuss IX event that will take place in 2026 and will bring its own fair share of cosmetics for players to grab.
With all of this being said, the Dedication Star event will take place near the end of December, bringing new cosmetics like the A-tier Werther skin for the Lawyer and the Femme Fatale skin for the Dream Witch. There’s a good chance that this may be the way the developer wants to celebrate the new year.
Conclusion
This concludes everything to know about the Christmas Winter Wishes event in Identity V. Most players are already anticipating the new map, and while the free costumes are nice, the shop returns are arguably more appealing. Those who don’t want to wait until next year to get these limited-time costumes may want to purchase an Identity V top up or two so they don’t miss out.
