What are the new areas in Infinity Nikki 2.0?
Infinity Nikki version 2.0 introduces two new awesome areas for players to explore. These areas are the Elderwood Forest and Spira, with both areas being completely explorable and giving players more reasons to save Infinity Nikki Stellarite. Both of these regions are part of Itzaland and are located in the western region, reachable by going through the Itzaland Canyon.
The Elderwood Forest is just as most would assume it to be, filled with lush greenery and treehouses where Nikki and her friends can rest. The place’s standout is definitely Shroomville, where cheerful Shroomlings live in peace and harmony, always ready for a sense of adventure. From riding giant snails to swinging around the giant trees as giant birds fly by, this is one of the most unique areas here.
Then, there’s Spira. In contrast to the lush and green Elderwood Forest, this area is more in tune with a different type of nature. Everywhere you look, there’s rock and water, with no large trees in sight. This place is closer to the starry sky, ensuring that you have a beautiful sight to witness every time you look up, especially at night.
This isn’t all that players can expect from Infinity Nikki, as new themed event islands will also come to the game over the months in future updates. More areas in Itzaland will also be released over the next year, ensuring that players can join Nikki and her friends on her long journey to explore what this new region has to offer.
What new abilities are in Infinity Nikki 2.0?
In addition to the new areas, Infinity Nikki players can also expect a bunch of new abilities to utilize in different scenarios. These abilities are archery, gigantification, and sticky claws.
Archery
Archery is what the new combat system primarily revolves around. Layers hold down the button after they unlock it to enter aiming mode, prompting homing arrows to lock on to targets within range automatically. This ensures that players don’t have to worry about accurately aiming while in a fight, since the homing system will do it for them.
Additionally, this mode of combat has different sorts of attacks. Those who like keeping things simple can choose to fire one arrow at a time, which does more damage but only targets a single enemy. Alternatively, it’s also possible to cause a bunch of arrows to rain down upon multiple enemies. However, the downside is that it deals less initial damage and more damage over time to multiple enemies. It’s all about the situation you’re in and the types and number of enemies you’re facing.
Sticky claw
Next is sticky claw. This ability is movement-related only, ensuring that Nikki can swing swiftly through the air or stay suspended for a set period of time at anchor points. The best way to use this ability is to pair it with another vertical-themed ability, such as one that lets Nikki walk in the air or float for a little while, since that would maximize air time.
Considering much of this version will force players to explore and traverse forests filled with large trees, sticky claws are ideal for helping players keep the process fun. Whether it’s to reach high areas or to move faster than running would allow, sticky claw will likely be part of every player’s go-to ability arsenal before long.
Gigantification
The final ability that Infinity Nikki adds is gigantification. Those who watched the 2022 reveal trailer for this game may recognize it since it was seen there. While this ability isn’t nearly as powerful as what was seen then, it still comes with its fair share of advantages that make exploring the world still fun.
As the name suggests, gigantification makes Nikki exponentially grow in size. When in this state, she has increased movement speed, a wider field of view, and can use the roar ability, which can do things like make flowers close in fear. It’s a handy ability to have, and players will likely have to utilize it for multiple situations.
All Infinity Nikki 2.0 resonance outfits
An Infinity Nikki update would be incomplete without some resonance outfits, and the same applies to 2.0. In this version, players can expect two limited-time resonance banners to pop up: Eclipsing Prayers and Shattered Splendor.
Infinity Nikki 5-star resonance outfits
Firstly, the two 5-star resonance outfits are Behind Prayers and Born Flawless. Behind Prayers is a sweet attribute outfit that has Nikki wear a majestic dress that goes all the way to the floor. It’s adorned with beautiful patterns that give Nikki an almost priestess-like look. The look is complete thanks to the large headpiece that is more like a crown.
This outfit’s ability is called Dawn Stroll: Sticky Claw, and it lets players create a zipline in the air. Nikki can then glide along the zipline to quickly travel long distances or reach high areas without having to use any other ability.
The evolutions of Behind Prayers include:
Behind Prayers: Bright Moon
Behind Prayers: Somber Nights
Behind Prayers: Silent Ashes
Those who fully glow up the outfit will get the Behind Prayers: Green Woods variant.
This isn’t the only 5-star outfit coming in this update, as the second one is called Born Flawless. Having the cool attribute, this outfit gives Nikki a sleeveless and partially legless dress that hugs her figure. With long ribbon-like pieces of clothing flowing with the air and the magnificent shoes she wears, Nikki looks like she belongs on a runway as a model.
This outfit’s ability is called Astral Tides: Archery, and it lets players shoot a Celestial Arrow at enemies, marking them. Using the ability again without letting it expire causes the arrow to deal AoE damage to the marked enemies for a short duration, making it ideal to clear out waves of enemies.
The evolutions of Born Flawless are:
Born Flawless: Forest Song
Born Flawless: Glowing Embers
Born Flawless: Mirrored Self
Those who fully glow up this outfit get the Born Flawless: Caged Dream variant.
Infinity Nikki 4-star resonance outfits
Both of the banners we mentioned above also have one 4-star outfit each. Joining Behind Prayers in the Eclipsing Prayers banner is Silent Ode. This elegant attribute outfit turns Nikki into what seems like a librarian or an educated poet, giving her an eyeglass and a decorated dress filled with enough layers to ensure she’s even warm if it snows.
This outfit’s ability is called Featherlight Hymn. Using it prompts Nikki to summon a poetry book and sing a melodious hymn. This causes golden features to carry her blessings into the sky, making for some excellent pictures. Using this ability near a Cadenceborn causes the Cadenceborn to join Nikki in the chanting.
This outfit’s evolution is Silent Ode: Judgment, and fully glowing it up unlocks the Silent Ode: Devoted Heart outfit.
The second 4-star resonance outfit that came alongside the 2.0 update is Starwoven Dream. Being part of the Shattered Splendor resonance banner alongside Born Flawless, this sexy attribute outfit turns Nikki into a traditional belly dancer, complete with the cloth covering the lower half of her face and the jewelry adorning her arms, waist, and hair.
This outfit’s ability is called Star Gauze: Whimsicality. This straightforward ability summons Shroomlings to dance alongside her, making for some treasured moments and memories with friends.
Conclusion
This concludes all of the major additions that came to Infinity Nikki 2.0. Of course, players can also expect multiple events, rewards, and other quality-of-life changes with this update, ensuring that Infinity Nikki continues to evolve and grow into the perfect gacha game we all know it can be. Those who want to get their hands on all of the limited-time outfits without having to miss out on the new story bits can always buy an Infinity Nikki top up or two to simplify things.
