Every charm in Resident Evil Requiem (ranked)

Charms have been in Resident Evil games for years now. While most shooters have charms that act as purely cosmetic items, they provide valuable buffs in Resident Evil games. 1. Eye Spy

Eye Spy Charm in Resident Evil Requiiem

  • Increases the likelihood you'll survive fatal damage.

The Eye Spy charm is a little tough to get for newcomers. You only get this by defeating the mutated Chunk when playing as Grace. If you don’t understand what we’re talking about and why it’s so hard, then you may have to get the game from a platform such as LootBar and try it yourself. However, the difficult task is more than worth it, because he drops the best charm in the game.

This charm’s effect is fairly straightforward, as it just increases the chances of you surviving fatal damage. It basically works as a second chance for Grace, especially in situations where she just needs a couple more seconds to survive.

While this charm is useful in normal difficulty and below, it really shines in the game’s harder difficulties. Many enemies in Resident Evil Requiem’s harder difficulties have the potential to take you out in one shot. If you’re going for a no-reset run, then this can instantly kill that run. The Eye Spy charm can stop this from happening by keeping you alive for a little longer.

2. Power Shades

Power Shades in Resident Evil Requiem

  • Offers limitless bullet penetration and increases the firepower of the last bullet in Requiem's cylinder.

The Requiem magnum in Resident Evil Requiem is already a powerhouse. However, it’s true that the weapon doesn’t initially have the penetration to make quick work of multiple zombies. The Power Shades charm changes this. Found inside a briefcase in the RPD building’s armory, getting this charm requires you to go through a bit of a wild goose chase. Fortunately, it’s worth it in the end.

The Power Shades charm grants unlimited bullet penetration and greatly boosts the damage of the Requiem’s final bullet. This doesn’t have to be the final bullet in the gun, but the last one in the cylinder. Equipping it on Zeno’s Redemption revolver is a good idea, since it turns every bullet into a powerhouse.

3. Trusted Companion

The trusted companion charm in Resident Evil Requiem

  • Increases bullet penetration for all weapons.

The Trusted Companion charm is a weird one, because it can’t be found in the game. Instead, you have to earn it by defeating 300 enemies and then buying it from the Special Bonuses menu. While it’s a bit of a chore and means that you’ll likely use this in subsequent playthroughs of the game, it’s an excellent charm.

Equipping the Trusted Companion charm increases the bullet penetration for all weapons. This means that every bullet goes through the first enemy to hit those enemies who are standing behind. This helps players make the most out of every bullet, especially in harder difficulties.

4. Rugged Rookie

The Rugged Rookie charm in Resident Evil Requiem

  • Increases all damage inflicted through firearms.

Grace has a serious shortage of good firepower, especially after she returns the Requiem to Leon. Fortunately, the Rugged Rookie charm changes this by increasing all damage inflicted through firearms.

However, getting this charm isn’t exactly easy. You must collect 6,500 Challenge Points to buy it from the Special Content menu. You probably won’t have this charm in your first playthrough, but future playthroughs should be much easier because of this.

5. R.P.D. Amulet

R.P.D. Charm in Resident Evil Requiem

  • It provides increased firepower when you're on the verge of death.

Players usually wander the game while having little to no health. After all, healing items are scarce and must be saved. Fortunately, the R.P.D. Amulet is perfect for those who don’t mind playing while at low health.

This weapon’s effect is straightforward but extremely useful. Equipping it increases your weapon’s firepower slightly when you’re on the verge of death. While you won’t exactly take every enemy out with one bullet, this should give you some extra damage to get out of otherwise impossible situations.

6. Cute Bear

Cute Bear charm in Resident Evil Requiem

  • A charm for shotguns. Increases mid-range firepower, sacrificing close-quarter potency.

Resident Evil 4 fans will likely recognize the Cute Bear charm instantly. After all, it’s the same keychain that Ada Wong uses when she tosses Leon the keys to the boat he uses to escape. What some players may not know is that this weapon is more than just a callback to arguably one of the best games in the series.

Equipping the Cute Bear charm in Resident Evil Requiem increases mid-range firepower for the shotgun it’s equipped on. The downside here is that you have to sacrifice some close-quarter potential, but that tradeoff may be worth it if you already have something for close encounters.

7. Connoisseur

Connoisseur charm in Resident Evil Requiem

  • Increases firepower when equipped on a gun.

The R.P.D Amulet charm’s buff is instantly felt, especially since it’s a bit of a risky charm to use. However, if you don’t want to constantly be at low health but still want to benefit from some increased firepower, then the Connoisseur charm may be perfect for you.

Found in a warped cabinet in the pantry of the Rhodes Hill Chronic Care Center, you can get this charm by using Leon’s hatchet. This increases the base firepower of the player’s weapons, though it isn’t felt that much. Still, it’s a good boost for high-capacity weapons, since it’ll let you make the most out of every bullet.

8. Stakeout Takeout

Stakeout charm in Resident Evil Requiem

  • Increases knife power and durability.

Since Grace doesn’t have access to an indestructible hatchet, she has to rely on knives to take down enemies. The issue is that these knives break and don’t really deal too much damage, making it a chore to constantly replace them. The Stakeout Takeout charm helps reduce this annoyance.

Found inside the Pantry room and dropped by the giant Chef enemy, this charm increases the attack power and durability of knives. This ensures that every knife hits harder and takes more to break, ensuring that you can focus on what really matters. Escaping the Care Center, of course.

9. BSAA Emblem

BSAA Emblem in Resident Evil Requiem

  • Boosts sniper rifles' firepower when they have no scope equipped.

Sniper rifles are generally some of the strongest weapons in Resident Evil: Requiem. Starting with the one you pick up as Leon when you have to save Grace after the helicopter crash, a good headshot can generally take down most enemies, regardless of the distance. However, if you aren’t able to consistently take enemies down with one shot, then the BSAA Emblem charm may be for you.

This charm increases the firepower of sniper rifles as long as they don’t have a scope equipped. The removal of the scope could be a tough payoff for some players, which is why this charm is ranked so low on this list. Still, the increase in damage is definitely noticeable, especially in greater difficulties.

10. S.T.A.R.S. Emblem

S.T.A.R.S. Emblem charm in Resident Evil Requiem

  • Increases the firepower of automatic guns at the cost of more sway while aiming.

The S.T.A.R.S. Emblem is at the bottom of this list, but that doesn’t mean it’s necessarily the worst. Instead, this charm is the most high-risk, high-reward charm in the game. Found by completing Barry Burton’s scavenger hunt in the RPD building, this charm increases the firepower of automatic guns.

On the other hand, equipping this charm also increases the weapon sway while aiming. This means that there’s a good chance that you’ll miss most of the bullets you fire, making the increased firepower basically useless. This charm may be good for those who are confident in their shooting abilities, but it may make the game harder for those who aren’t.

11-12. Mr. Raccoon + DSO Emblem

Mr. Raccoon + DSO Emblem charms in resident evil requiem

The final two charms are great, but they don’t rank too high because they’re only acquirable by purchasing the game’s deluxe edition. The Mr. Raccoon charm increases precision and critical hit rate for Grace. On the other hand, the DSO Emblem charm can be attached to any of Leon’s handguns to increase their precision and critical hit rate.

Conclusion

Every charm in Resident Evil Requiem brings something new to the table. If you aren’t sure which charm you want to use, then you may want to give the game a shot first by buying a Resident Evil Requiem Steam key. Who knows, you may end up having to rotate between multiple charms.
