Who is Aurora?
Aurora is the final Threshold boss whom you will face in the very last stage of the game. She is feared because of her ever-increasing AOE damage and debuff amplification abilities. In order to defeat her, you will require an efficient team to counter her mechanics and strategic planning in order to defeat her. Aurora’s Element is Reason and her difficulty tiers: Normal, Hard, Nightmare, Hell and Inferno. Here is the basic information about Aurora:
· Strengths: Aurora relies on stacking area-of-effect damage and debuffing abilities such as Wild Proclamation and Curse Shield. Her Accumulated Anger/ Wrath mechanics poses a major threat for the players.
· Turn Meter Resist: Aurora poses a passive resistance against Turn Meter reduction that is set at 30% in the lower difficulty stages and a huge climb of 70% at Inferno.
· Anti-Dot and Control: This ability makes Damage over time and other control effects on Aurora ineffective.
· Hollow Units: At inferno difficulty, Aurora deals an additional 200% damage against Hollow units. Therefore, it is not a good idea to use Hollow affinity units because it will lead to a sure failure.
Aurora Skill Overview
Aurora uses high burst Area of effect damage with escalating debuffs that poses a scaling mechanic. Her skill set and complex mechanics makes it harder for players to withstand her terror in a prolonged fight. Therefore, understanding her skill set and abilities is crucial before participating in an intense clash with the Final boss. Below is a detailed breakdown of Aurora’s core skill:
Skill no | Skill name | Abilities |
1 | Dangling Foliage | Aurora unleashes a powerful strike that deals a massive 600% AoE damage with an 80% chance to apply Wild Proclamation for 3 turns. After the skill cast, Aurora converts her current accumulated Anger into Wrath which gives an additional 20 stacks of Accumulated Anger. Moreover, she places a Curse Shield on the targets that reduces healing effects on it. The curse shield is equal to 25% of the target’s Max HP. |
2 | Pristine Crystal | The Pristine Crystal inflicts an Area of effect damage equal to 350% on the team which increases to 450%, if the target has a debuff. |
3 | Lingering Grudge | Lingering Grudge inflicts an Area of effect damage equal to 700% on the team which increases by an additional 140% every time the skill is used. |
4 | Place in Death | Aurora fights in her normal state while all 5 of her animus units are alive and for every defeated animus, Aurora gains a 100% spike to her damage output, making her more ferocious. |
Important Terms
· Wild Proclamation: At the start of the affected unit’s turn, the target receives damage equal to 450% of Aurora’s ATK.
· Accumulated Anger: Whenever Aurora takes any damage, she loses a stack. If the attacker is marked with Wild Proclamation, the chance of removing a stack decreases by 25%.
· Wrath: Wrath is her unique passive effect that immediately triggers the 3rd skill – Lingering Grudge when her stacks reach 15.
· Curse Shield: Neglects healing effect equal to the amount of the Shield and reduces the target’s damage output by 90%.
