Based on hands-on experience from recent test servers, this article compiles several team compositions especially worth using during the Open Beta launch phase. Laevatain Heat Team

Since Ardelia is given for free at launch, pulling Laevatain as your main DPS is a solid choice. The Laevatain team currently offers one of the lowest execution costs and most stable gameplay experiences. The core members are Laevatain, Wulfgard, and Ardelia. With a simple opening combo, you can quickly stack four layers of Combustion, allowing Laevatain’s enhanced combat skill to activate immediately.

The fourth slot is extremely flexible and can be adjusted based on your needs.Bringing Antal improves single-target damage, Akekuri excels at mob clearing and daily content, while Ember provides exceptional survivability and error tolerance. You can even include Pogranichnik to speed up map traversal. If you own Gilberta, pairing her with Wulfgard and Akekuri makes daily clearing extremely comfortable.

Cryo Team

The Cryo team is currently the most recommended starter lineup for new players. Its core members are Estella, Chen Qianyu, and the Endministrator, with Alesh as the preferred fourth slot. The damage flow is very straightforward: Alesh works together with Estella to rapidly apply Freeze, then multiple chain skills are triggered at high speed, stacking two layers of Defense Break and various buffs in a short window, before finishing with the Endministrator’s powerful AOE strike.

The biggest advantage of this lineup lies in its extremely low gacha requirement—only one 4★ and one 5★ unit are needed for full formation—while still delivering outstanding early- and mid-game performance. However, its weakness is also clear: in the late game, Estella and Alesh gradually fall off in damage. Fortunately, Endministrator and Chen Qianyu scale exceptionally well and can be fully invested into, allowing for a smooth transition into a Physical team later. Overall, this remains one of the safest and most reliable Open Beta starter choices.

If you pull Gilberta, she can directly replace Alesh as a superior option, significantly improving daily clearing efficiency while also providing an additional layer of Defense Break—making her the ideal upgrade for Cryo teams.

Physical Teams

Physical teams currently have the highest upper limit among all compositions, while also offering the strongest sense of control and impact. The ideal setup consists of Pogranichnik, Lifeng, Chen Qianyu, and Endministrator, featuring dense chain skills, fast pacing, and extremely satisfying combat flow.

However, this team is difficult to build. From a gacha perspective, you must own at least two permanent 6★ operators, and it is also highly investment-dependent—all four operators require substantial resources to truly shine. As a result, this team only fully comes online in the late game, and many players may struggle to afford its development early on.

If you only pull Pogranichnik, you can pair him with Ardelia, Little God, and Da Pan for a stable and practical alternative. If you only pull Lifeng, you can run Lifeng, Ardelia, Little God, and Endministrator instead.Pogranichnik and Lifeng can substitute for each other in many scenarios. If you pull neither, it is not recommended to force a Physical team—returning to the Cryo team will be a better option.

Yvonne Teams

Yvonne received significant adjustments in the latest test servers, with her overall strength noticeably improved. She may potentially approach Laevatain-level performance in the future. The core idea is to stack five layers of abnormal status effects before activating her Ultimate. Exact team performance still requires Open Beta testing, but the following serve as reference lineups. The fourth slot can be flexibly adjusted based on your roster.

Last Rite Teams

While Last Rite teams excel at single-target burst damage, their early-game progression speed is slow and they are highly dependent on investment, resulting in a poor early experience. Therefore, they are not recommended as an Open Beta starter team, and are better suited for mid-to-late game development once resources are abundant.

Gilberta Electric Team

This Electric team is currently one of the most mechanically demanding compositions in Arknights: Endfield, making it better suited for advanced players. The core gameplay revolves around Gilberta and Perlica repeatedly refreshing Arclight’s skills, with Gilberta’s chain skills reliably triggering alongside Perlica’s.
