Who is Undertaker?

Undertaker is a new character with a unique kit that has a passive that allows her to use her ultimate when an ally uses theirs. Loathsome Hex, Undertaker’s ultimate, can be used to summon a bone and launch the character on an opponent, dealing a burst of damage on impact. It’s an effective ability that can both close the distance between an enemy and simultaneously deal substantial damage.

Undertaker’s Trance skill grants her increased stamina-free movement, so she can run without draining stamina. It also makes the character resistant to stagger and boosts her combo attack power. The character is great at close range, and her mobility ensures she can also evade enemies if things get too challenging.

Undertaker skins explained

Undertaker has six skins, including the default, that provide a unique aesthetic experience, but don’t affect the character’s stats. The skins need to be purchased, but most of them require players to complete quests to make them available for buying. They are purely cosmetic, but a collectible cosmetic that adds a layer of personalization to Undertaker.

Undertaker Default Skin

Undertaker Default is the base skin that the character has applied when she’s unlocked in The Forsaken Hollows DLC. The skin matches Undertaker’s imposing presence with a dark, assassin-like thobe that has some white in it but lacks vibrant colors. The best part of this specific skin is that players don’t have to do anything or spend any money to obtain it. While it's a decent base skin, players may want something more vibrant or customize the character, which is why there are multiple other skins for her.

Dawn Skin

The Dawn skin is significantly lighter compared to the base skin and comprises a full white ceremonial thobe aesthetic. This skin needs to be purchased, but players need to complete the Balancers expedition for it to be unlocked. Once the expedition is completed, the skin can be bought from the Dresser for 14,000 Murk or from the Collector Signboard for 10 Sovereign Sigils. This skin is one of the more unique ones, as it changes Undertaker’s look drastically, and can resonate with players who want to stand out.

Darkness Skin

The Darkness skin is the second skin that is unlocked after completing the Balancers expedition. It also needs to be purchased from either the Dresser or the Collector Signboard, but costs either 35,000 Murk or 20 Sovereign Sigils. The Darkness skin is the perfect option for players who like the base skin but want a more imposing look. The skin essentially builds on the base skin and evolves it into a completely black outfit with a dark purple robe and hood.

Brass Skin

The Brass skin is part of the Dreglord expedition, and is available for purchase after players finish it. The skin can be purchased from the Dresser or Collector Signboard for 7,500 Murk or 5 Sovereign Sigils. This specific skin is similar to the Darkmoon Knightess armor from the Dark Souls franchise, another one of FromSoftware’s games. While this adds a nostalgic element for Dark Souls fans, the skin is substantially different from others. It’s essentially a knight's armor and doesn’t feature thobe-like garments from other skins.

Lord’s Blade Skin

Lord’s Blade skin is the second one that is unlocked after completing the Dreglord expedition, with players having the option to buy it for 7,500 Murk or 5 Sovereign Sigils. This skin is also inspired by Dark Souls and imagines Lord’s Blade Ciaran’s armor on Undertaker. While still visually dark, the skin revamps Undertaker completely and can be a good choice for players wanting something different.

Remembrance Skin

The Remembrance skin is unlocked by completing the Remembrance quest and can give players a sense of accomplishment, as it isn’t purchased. The Remembrance quest is started by reading Undertaker’s journal, and players must follow the narrative and defeat the Hoelstor to get this final skin. It is similar to the base skin visually, but it's the journey towards unlocking it that makes the skin special, and if you don’t already have the game, you can buy an Elden Ring Nightreign Steam key.

Conclusion

Undertaker’s abilities make her an essential Nightfarer in any team, with her mobility potentially being her biggest strength. The character’s multiple skins may not give a tactical advantage, but let players shake things up and personalize her according to their preference. Whether you want a dark and mean Undertaker or a knight look, each skin brings a unique flavor to enjoy. While purchasing the skins may force players to grind, the progression-linked unlocked skins add an accomplishment scenario. The Remembrance skin, for instance, gives fulfillment after defeating a worthy adversary using weaknesses you can find on LootBar and completing the storyline.
