Season 8 Leaks: What’s Coming?
Season 8 is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious updates yet. Key features include:
Space City 2.0
Play-as-a-Boss mode
- Sineva remake
Multiple new mini-modes
New Warfare map: Aftershock
Expanded environmental destruction, including fully destructible buildings
Overall, these changes make the gameplay feel fresher. Players will have more ways to move, attack, and reposition, which reduces stale tactics and encourages smarter, more flexible strategies on the map.
Space City 2.0: Major Map Expansion and Gameplay Changes
Recent footage from the Dragon’s Tooth melee trailer gave us our first real look at Space City 2.0.
New Dock Area & Vertical Expansion
A large new dock zone has been added
At least three stories tall, based on earlier concept art
A newly revealed vertical tower, potentially usable as a sniper or traversal point
While it’s still unclear whether the tower will be fully climbable, developers have already confirmed that Space City 2.0 will include new ways to counter bridge camping.
Possible Anti-Bridge Camping Solutions (Speculation)
A zipline connecting the dock to the bridge
Swimmable water routes beneath the bridge
Under-bridge ladders or ziplines
Any combination of these would finally provide meaningful counterplay against bridge campers.
CEO Office Rework: New Escape Routes
The CEO office is also receiving changes:
A new transparent (likely bulletproof) screen has been added
Passageways leading to the office will be widened, improving movement and combat
Developers have confirmed a new escape route, but footage suggests:
No obvious new exit at the front or back
The escape may be hidden within the room itself
Possible secret passage
Ventilation shaft
Breakable wall
Because the reception area requires an expensive keycard, a hidden internal exit seems the most practical solution.
Swimming Areas and Loot Possibilities
With swimmable areas likely coming to Space City, there’s speculation around underwater loot.
Rare items like Tears of the Ocean currently drop from special enemies
If underwater loot is introduced, Space City could become a new farming hotspot
That said, concerns remain about player count balance. Many players feel the current team count is ideal, and overpopulating the expanded map could hurt pacing.
Black Market Event - Lucky Nest
The upcoming Black Market event, expected to launch around January 1, has raised some concerns due to the lack of official announcements for the global version. However, there are several signs pointing toward a worldwide release. The event does not involve any collaboration or region-restricted content, making it easy to roll out globally. Its timing also fits perfectly following the delay of the Metal Gear Solid collaboration, and it has already been confirmed through Chinese promotional materials. If it does arrive on global servers, the Black Market event could easily become one of the biggest and most anticipated events to date.
Event Explain
During the event period, operators can enter the event page in the shop to search for the Lucky Nest once per day. Each search will randomly reveal five cosmetic items.
