This mode allows you to quickly improve your skills without any cost. Based on my gameplay experience, I'll give you a overview of the rules and Tips for Hot Zone.
Hot Zone Overview
The mode consists of three squads, each with three players. At the start of the game, a small combat map is randomly selected, and the three squads spawn at different locations.
The win condition is either to eliminate all players in the current round or to be the first to decrypt the MandelBrick. The first squad to win three rounds secures the overall victory.
Decrypting the MandelBrick takes 90 seconds, during which your squad transitions into a defensive role, fending off attacks from the other two squads. This mechanic is similar to the bomb-defusal modes in many shooter games.
It’s worth noting that once decryption begins, the round timer becomes infinite until the decryption is either completed or interrupted. If interrupted, the round timer resets to 90 seconds.
At the end of each round, squads earn reward points, which can be used to purchase better gear, including armor, helmets, and weapons. You’ll be presented with three equipment loadouts, and you’ll have the option to refresh them to find the best fit for your playstyle.
Tips for Hot Zone
- Don’t Hold onto the MandelBrick for Too Long
If you pick up the MandelBrick, avoid holding onto it for extended periods, as it will constantly reveal your real-time location to other players. Instead, consider hiding it nearby and retrieving it only when you’re ready to start the decryption process.
- Monitor Squad Status Using the Icons
Keep an eye on the squad member icons displayed at the top of the screen. These show the number of active players in each squad, helping you assess the situation and plan your next move accordingly.
- Allocate Reward Points Strategically
When your squad has an advantage in win points, consider sticking with your current weapon and saving your reward points for the next round. This allows you to purchase stronger gear later on.
Additionally, coordinate with your teammates to allocate the best available equipment to a single player, boosting their individual combat effectiveness. However, this strategy requires that the selected player has exceptional gunplay skills to maximize the benefit.
