How Do Tiles Work and Why Are They So Important?
Every single player taking part in Origin Lands can start capturing tiles. But, unlike previous Dark War Survival seasons that let you take your troops near other settlements and go to Points of Interest on the map, that’s not possible here. Instead, you can only travel alone the tiles you and your Alliance have captured. And you can only capture tiles that are right next to tiles already captured by you or your Alliance.
You can only capture one tile at a time, which only takes a couple of minutes. But, at the same time, you can only have 40 tiles to your name at one point. After you capture 40 of them, you can’t capture more until someone else captures your tiles, or you abandon them (which takes 10 minutes per tile). So, with very limited moves, careful planning is absolutely necessary for Season 6 of Dark War Survival.
Before we get into strategy, the reason why these tiles are so important is because they give you Influence. Influence is basically the score between both camps fighting in this war. The more you fight and conquer, the more Influence (score) you gain for your team. At the end of the season, members of whichever team ends up with more Influence will likely be rewarded heavily, which is why everyone’s going all out to win this war.
Tile Strategy for Territory Wars – Two Things To Remember
Don’t Ever Capture Without Your Alliance’s Help
Communication is more important than ever in Season 6. Whenever you feel like taking over more tiles, always talk to your fellow Alliance members first. Having other members capture tiles with you is much better than doing it alone because that way you have some cover. While you’re off collecting tiles, it’s possible for enemy players to cut you off from the rest of your Alliance.
For example, say that you or an Alliance member are capturing tiles in a straight line in a busy part of the map. A player from the rival camp could cut your line, which would leave you stranded completely away from your Alliance members until one of them comes to save you, or you have enough tiles capture your way back to teammates. Having Alliance members put their tiles close whenever you plan on spreading out is great for this very reason, and just because that way you have more directions to capture tiles.
Don’t Aimlessly Capture Whatever Tiles You See
Since everyone only gets 40 tiles at a time, don’t waste them all on whatever free tiles you see. Instead, strategically place your tiles by working with Alliance members to get to important Points of Interest on the map. For example, if you see an Oasis nearby, convince other members in your Alliance to come place their tiles with you and surround that Oasis. That way, your camp and Alliance have full control over it, and can constantly get Holy Water and other important seasonal resources from it.
Never try to build long pathways either, since enemies will just cut into them. Instead, capture four tiles in a square and build Portals on them. Coordinate the start and end destinations of these portals with your Alliance members. Make shortcuts around enemy lines, or place Portals all across Points of Interests so you can quickly send troops over for Capital Clash and other combat events. Boost your progress and capture more tiles by getting Dark War Survival packs or rubies from LootBar for cheaper VIP unlocks.
Conclusion
There’s no one winning strategy for Season 6 of Dark War Survival. It all depends on your server and what kind of players you’re going up against. But, follow the two tips above and you’ll immediately see an improvement. 40 tiles isn’t a lot, so knowing where to place them and constantly coordinating in with your buddies in the Alliance is always the smart thing to do. And once you’re done with that, you can defend your captured tiles more easily if you top up Dark War Survival rubies from LootBar for better Heroes and Troops!
