A Guide To The New Map in Dark War Survival
Conquest, Factions, and A New Tile System
Season 6 has one main focus, which is the war between two factions. Every single player is a part of this war and can choose their preferred faction. One of them is the Order Tribe, and the other is the Vengeance Union. After picking a faction, you’ll be tasked with capturing tiles and structures for it. This is what the “conquest” is. Whichever team captures most of the map and structures like Pyramids by the end of the season will be victorious, and will likely get rewarded.
The entire map is separated into individual tiles. You have to capture these one-by-one through your troops. The more tiles you capture, the more you help your faction, while also making it possible to explore more of the map. You can capture these tiles diagonally, vertically, and horizontally. Work with your Alliance members to capture large chunks of the map together and get lots of tiles for your Faction.
Fighting Over the Oases
There are multiple places all over the map called “Oasis”. Most players are already fighting over these Oases, and you should immediately find the ones closest to your settlement on the map and start capturing them too. Every Oasis gives Holy Water, which is a seasonal resource that you can use to upgrade seasonal buildings like the Obelisk.
Holy Water and Curse Corruption
Buildings like the Obelisk, which you can upgrade with Holy Water with provide resistance to corruption from curses. These “curses” are the same things as the virus in previous seasons, just with a different look and wording. So if you’re not a completely new player, you already know how it works and how important it is to capture more Oases so you can get more Holy Water to upgrade resistance. You can get more Holy Water through the Holy Altar building in your camp too, so make sure to upgrade this.
Portals and Troop Transportation
All over the map, you’ll find structures like the one in the image below. These are Portals, and do exactly what the name suggest. They let you teleport things to and from your settlement, and utilizing them properly is extremely important this season. You can also build and place Portals of your own near any structures or tiles you’ve captured.
They let players transfer troops from one place to another almost instantly, getting rid of troop transport time. It’s so important for fighting over tiles and capturing a large amount of tiles before other players get to them. You can also set up lots of them in coordination with Alliance members near important camps and settlements for your so that you can instantly defend them from threats. Portals are more than just a convenience this season, they’re a super-important gameplay mechanic.
Ruin Tasks
In Season 6, you can find eight temples on the middle of the map that all look a little different. Each of these temples belongs to a different Egyptian Mythology figure, like Sobek and Set. You can visit all of these temples to get a different Ruin Task (quest) from each one, like using a certain amount of rubies or killing a particular amount of specific enemies.
Each one gives great seasonal rewards and you should try completing them daily. You can only get rewards from two Ruin Tasks per day even if you start and complete all eight. They all usually give the exact same rewards, just for different objectives. So just do the two that are easiest for you. And if you want to get more seasonal resources or better troops without all the grinding, go to LootBar for cheap Dark War Survival packs.
Conclusion
These are the biggest changes to watch out for in Dark War Survival Season 6’s map. For starters, we recommend capturing multiple Oases and getting a lot of tiles while completing seasonal tasks. That way, you can quickly level up the new seasonal buildings like the Obelisk to get more resistance, and level up the Holy Altar to get more Holy Water. But for the best head start for the new season, top up Dark War Survival rubies on LootBar.
