Crimson Catastrophe Event in Dark War Survival

Season 5 in Dark War Survival is one of the most fun and “fair” seasons of the game so far. Mainly because we’ve had so many easy rewards, fun events, and things to do instead of just working on our camp or doing random Alliance tasks. Crimson Catastrophe is another weekly event in Dark War Survival Season 5: Sealed Island. It only shows up once a week, and first appeared three weeks ago.

Since you only get one chance a week to make the most of this event and it’s a bit confusing, we made this guide to break it down. It gives some great rewards, and we’ll cover what those are too. But, if you want to skip grinding in events and want great loot fast, get Dark War Survival rubies from LootBar to buy anything in the store!

What Is The Crimson Catastrophe Event in Dark War Survival?

Every week on the same day (Sunday), the Crimson Catastrophe will start in Dark War Survival while season 5 is still active. During the event, a type of mob in the game called Toras will be enraged and start attacking Watchtowers randomly, meaning your shelter could be at risk. The twist is that these Wandering Toras won’t engage with a Watchtower’s defenses at all. They’ll just directly start damaging the Watchtower itself and chip away at its durability until you either kill the Tora, or the Watchtower collapses.

This is a state-wide event as well as an Alliance event. There are dozens of “state threats”, which are all Wandering Toras, meaning you and all other players in your state will have to work together to keep each other safe. You can go to the event menu and find the location of each of these enemies and launch an attack on them at any time. The more you kill, the more rewards you get and the higher your chances are of revealing the Terror Tora’s location.

The Terror Tora is the most dangerous one of them all, and you can work with other state players to rally against it and kill it. Otherwise, it has a chance of spawning and seriously hurting settlements in your state. It offers really good rewards and you even get credited as one of the “discoverers across your entire state”, along with extra rewards through in-game mail.

As for the Alliance aspect of the event, there will be one high-level Wandering Tora that will target Alliance shelters. It offers even better rewards and you’ll have to work with Alliance members to kill it. This enemy will be level 140, and some state threat Toras will even go as high as level 150. These won’t be easy to take down without proper coordination and good troops, so make sure you’re prepared if you want to get good rewards from this event. And speaking of rewards…

Rewards From The Crimson Catastrophe Event

You can get rewards by killing Wandering Tora up to three times during each Crimson Catastrophe. These rewards include lots and lots of stone, some rubies, some speed-ups, and other good rewards. But, the rewards also change depending on the exact level you’re going up against. Fighting against level 120 mobs will get you 50k stone, which is still a decent amount. But, level 150 Wandering Toras will give you 180k stone, much more rubies, and even 2 shard pieces for legendary heroes. You can get an insane amount of good loot by going for the highest level enemies.

The rewards for killing the singular Alliance threat Tora are also quite good and include stone, shards/puzzle pieces for heroes, speed-ups, rubies, and more. All in all, you get a lot of loot to help upgrade your settlement, especially stone which is really important and not easy to collect in Season 5. Going after the highest level Toras can get you over 500k stone thanks to Crimson Catastrophe every single week, which is a huge boost to upgrade seasonal buildings.

On top of the rewards for killing Toras in battle, there are objectives tied to the event that give you rewards when you complete them. For example, you can get a Universal Exclusive Equipment Fragment for killing a level 110 through the rewards in Crimson Catastrophe’s event menu. Every different levelled Tora offers rewards, and while those rewards are nowhere near as good as the rewards from winning against Toras, they’re still better than nothing at all.
