Clash Royale S62 Update: Balance Changes for August 2024, Goblin Machine Buff, Void Rework!

The new blog for Clash Royale is here. On July 24th, Clash Royale balance team introduces upcoming balance changes and asks for feedback from players. Let's see what changes come next!

1. Arrows (Nerf)

Balance Team nerfs arrow damage to towers by 16%, from 111Hit Points to 93Hit Points. 

The Arrows is a Common card that is unlocked from the Training Camp (Tutorial). It is an area-damage, air-targeting spell with a large radius and low damage that launches three volleys in a row. An Arrows card costs 3 Elixir to deploy. The balancing team may take into account that the arrows is often used in attack due to its low cost and versatility, so the balancing team reduces the damage to the tower and makes the player need to consider whether to use the arrows more for defense.

 

2. Moving Cannon Cart (Buff)

Cannon Cart's Hit Speed will increase by 11%, from 1.00 Hits / Second to 1.11 Hits / Second and Hit TIme has buffed to 0.9 seconds.

The Cannon Cart is an Epic card that is unlocked from the Miner's Mine (Arena 15). It spawns a single-target, ground-targeting, medium-ranged, ground troop with moderate hitpoints and moderate damage with a shield in addition to its normal hitpoints. When its shield is destroyed, it becomes a building with a 30-second lifetime. It appears as a Cannon with a wooden base atop a wooden cart. A Cannon Cart card costs 5 Elixir to deploy. Players don't seem to see this card in the rank very often, so they may have chosen to enhance it.

 

3. Electro Wizard (Buff)

Eletro Wizard's Spawn Radius will increase 20%. 

The Electro Wizard is a Legendary card that is unlocked from the Electro Valley (Arena 11). It spawns a fast, multi-target, air-targeting, medium-ranged, ground troop with moderate hitpoints and moderate damage. The Electro Wizard's attacks stuns his targets for 0.5 seconds. If 2 or more targets are within his range, his attack will split and attack the closest 2 units. He spawns with a Zap upon deployment. An Electro Wizard card costs 4 Elixir to deploy. 

 

4. Goblin Machine (Buff)

Balance Team Buffs Goblin Machine's Rocket Hit Speed by 14% and buff Rocket Hit  time to 3.5 seconds.

The Goblin Machine is a Legendary card that is unlocked from the Scrapyard (Goblins 3). It spawns a single-targeting, ground-targeting, melee, ground troop with high hitpoints and moderately low damage. It is a wood and metal mech with a Goblin emblem in the center and a Rocket launcher on its back, all controlled by a Baby Goblin. If a troop or building is within 2.5 and 5 tiles of the Goblin Machine, a Rocket dealing high area damage is launched at the troop every 4 seconds. A Goblin Machine card costs 5 Elixir to deploy. The Balance team has been nerfed this card ever since it was releasted, and now they have finally strengthened the Goblin Machine due to the low appearance rate. However, this buff does not seem to be much, and the Goblin Machine's return to the T1 level card is still far away.

 

5. Hunter (Buff)

Hunter's Hit Points will buff from 838 to 868Hit Points. 

The Hunter is an Epic card that is unlocked from the Hog Mountain (Arena 10). It spawns a single-target, air-targeting, medium-ranged, ground troop with moderate hitpoints and very high damage. The Hunter launches an attack that shoots 10 shotgun shells that travels in random directions with a widespread range, giving him higher damage the closer he is to the target. A Hunter card costs 4 Elixir to deploy. The shotgun in the hunter's hand usually needs to be at close range to deliver full damage, and increasing his health to improve fault tolerance is also a good option.

 

6. Ice Wizard (Buff)

Ice Wizard's Splash Radius has increased 50%! 

The Ice Wizard is a Legendary card that is unlocked from the Spooky Town (Arena 12). It spawns an area-damage, air-targeting, medium-ranged, ground troop with moderate hitpoints and low damage. The Ice Wizard's attacks slows the target's movement and attack speed by 35%. Upon deployment, he will deal damage around enemy units around him in a 360º area around him, and slow them down similarly to his attack. His hair and eyes are blue, and he wears thick robes. An Ice Wizard card costs 3 Elixir to deploy.

 

7. Void (Rework)

void

Void's damage to individual units will be reduced by 13%, while damage to groups will be increased by 58%. It's kind of a rework.

The Void is an Epic card that is unlocked from the Miner's Mine (Arena 15). It is a multi-damage, air-targeting spell with a medium radius and various damage stages. The Void targets all troops inside its radius, dealing more damage to them the fewer there are inside its radius. A Void card costs 3 Elixir to deploy. Balance team nerfed individual damage in turn increased group damage, indicating that they should want this card to be distinct from the lightning spell.
