Clash Royale November 2025 Buffs and Nerfs Explained

Clash Royale keeps evolving. Every month, a new season drops, and with it come tweaks that can totally change how people play. Season 77 landed on November 3, 2025, and honestly, it’s one of the more balanced updates I’ve seen in a while. Supercell clearly wanted to tone down the cards that were running wild last season and give a little life to the ones nobody was touching.

After playing a bunch of ladder matches since the patch, I can already feel the shift. Defensive buildings aren’t ruling the meta anymore, and faster, more offensive decks are making a comeback. Nine cards got touched this season — three nerfed, six buffed — and every single one makes sense. Below, I’m ranking these changes from most to least impactful, with a few of my own thoughts thrown in.

If you’re diving into this season, it’s also a great time to enhance your progress through a Clash Royale top up on LootBar — a trusted game top up platform that helps you get Clash Royale gems and in-game items securely.

1. Evo Royal Ghost Nerf

  • Type: Nerf
  • Change: Souldiers’ damage reduced by ~50%, limited to a single spawn swing.
  • Impact: Major meta shift.

Clash Royale Evo Royal Ghost

Man, this one was overdue. The Evolved Royal Ghost was running rampant ever since it dropped. It had invisibility, splash damage, and those Souldiers that hit like trucks the second they spawned. You’d see it in almost every deck, and it honestly made matches feel repetitive.

After the nerf, those Souldiers don’t stay around smacking things forever. Their damage got chopped nearly in half, and now they hit once before disappearing. I tested it right after the update, and the difference is massive.

2. Evo Goblin Drill Buff

  • Type: Buff
  • Change: First submerge now spawns two Goblins instead of one.
  • Impact: Revives fast-cycle decks.

Evo Goblin Drill Clash Royale

I love this change. Goblin Drill has always been a fun card, but its evolved version didn’t feel like much of an upgrade before. Now, that double-Goblin spawn gives it real bite.

In my matches, this buff makes tower chip damage way more consistent. I’ve been running it in fast cycle decks with cards like Cannon and Firecracker, and it just keeps pressure on the opponent nonstop.

3. Goblin Hut Nerf

  • Type: Nerf
  • Change: Spawn rate slowed from every 1.9s → 2.0s.
  • Impact: Slight reduction in chip potential.

Clash royale goblin hut

This one’s more subtle but still noticeable. Goblin Hut was kind of dominating last season — too efficient for its cost. The slower spawn rate doesn’t seem like much on paper, but over a full match, it adds up.

4. Phoenix Buff

  • Type: Buff
  • Change: Baby Phoenix HP and damage increased by 25%.
  • Impact: Stronger rebirth cycle and better overall value.

Phoenix has always been that “cool concept, poor execution” kind of card. The rebirth mechanic is fun, but the baby form just didn’t do much before. With this buff, though, the reborn version actually fights back.

5. Elixir Pump Nerf

  • Type: Nerf
  • Change: Elixir generation time increased from 12s → 13s.
  • Impact: Slower economy, weaker control decks.

Elixir Pump Clash Royale

This one hurts Pump players, no doubt. A single-second increase might sound small, but over the course of a match, you lose an entire elixir or more. That’s huge for decks like Three Musketeers that rely on the Pump to keep up the pressure.

6. Rascals Buff

  • Type: Buff
  • Change: Rascal Boy damage increased by 6% (204 → 217).
  • Impact: Slightly stronger tank-ranged combo.

Clash Royale Rascals Buff

This is a small buff but a nice quality-of-life change. The boy Rascal always felt a bit weak compared to the girls, who did most of the work with ranged attacks. That extra 6% gives him more punch and lets the trio survive longer pushes.

7. Spirit Empress Buff

  • Type: Buff
  • Change: Ground HP increased 10% (1134 → 1244).
  • Impact: Better durability, still niche.

Clash Royale spirit empress

The Spirit Empress is such a weird card. It can switch between ground and air, but the ground form was always kind of useless. This buff gives it just enough bulk to survive small spells and last longer in fights.

8. Golden Knight Buff (Bug Fix)

  • Type: Buff / Fix
  • Change: Dash delay reduced from 200ms → 50ms.
  • Impact: Smoother chain attacks and responsiveness.

Clash Royale Golden Knight

This is more of a fix than a straight buff, but man, it feels so much better. The Golden Knight used to get stuck chasing Ice Golems or kited troops endlessly, which made him unreliable.

Now, he locks onto targets faster and actually finishes his dash. The card feels cleaner, not stronger — just less buggy. If you use him in control decks, you’ll definitely appreciate this smoother behavior.

9. Little Prince Buff

  • Type: Buff
  • Change: Guardian HP increased 7% (202 → 217).
  • Impact: Small survivability improvement.

Clash Royale Little Prince

The last change on the list is pretty minor. The Little Prince’s Guardian gets a bit tankier, which helps during close skirmishes, but it’s not a big enough boost to shake up any decks.

I tried using it in a few royal setups, and while the Guardian lives slightly longer, it doesn’t change how you play around it. It’s more of a nice-to-have tweak than a strategic overhaul.

Conclusion: My Take on Season 77

Overall, Season 77 feels like a healthy adjustment. Supercell finally reined in some overpowered evolutions while throwing lifelines to cards that needed a little love.

If you haven’t logged in for a while, this might be the patch to return on. There’s room for experimentation again — whether that’s a revived Phoenix bait deck, a double-Goblin Drill setup, or even a Spirit Empress hybrid. Whatever your playstyle, Season 77 is one of those rare updates that shakes things up without breaking the game.
