The White Nevron quest in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a friendly quest, and on completion, you get a decent reward of 100 color lumina. The quest is basically a request from an NPC character, “Blanche,” who himself is a White Nevron. You must fulfill the request of Blanche by helping other White Nevrons. There are different quests you need to complete for each Nevron.
You will have two options given after completing each quest: either you can kill the Nevrons or spare them. Killing them won’t do any good, but if you want to kill them, you must first complete all the quests and receive the reward from Blanche, then go and kill the Nevrons. If you kill them early, then you might not receive the reward from Blanche.

Nevron’s and their Locations
Jar - Spring Meadows
As you start your journey, you’ll find the first White Nevron very easily. You'll find ‘Jar’ next to the Expedition 81 flag on the main path connecting the meadows to the Indigo Tree area. You’ll meet Jar naturally during the main story, where the pale Nevron asks you to bring him “light”. Basically, he needs a Resin. There is a chance that ‘Jar’ might hold some kind of secret to the Paintress's identity, so it will be worth helping him. Go through the tunnel behind the flag and turn right. Follow the path along the cliff for a quicker route. When you reach the end and spot the bridge below, drop down and head right again. Continue until you come across a pile of broken crates and barrels; this is where you’ll find the Resin. Now go back to Jar. Jar is holding a white lamp in his hand. You need to shoot the lamp, and the quest will be completed.
Démineur - Flying Waters
The Démineur is not in the main story of the game, so there is not much you can get from him. To find this White Nevron, you have to take a bit of a detour. After your interaction with NOCO and leaving the manor, you'll reach a large area where there are broken bits of shipwrecks floating around. Instead of going into the cave with the large dripping anchor above the entrance, turn right. Go into the large white jar, and at the end of the tunnel, you’ll find the white Démineur. If you’re coming back to Flying Waters later, start from the Coral Cave fast travel point. Go back through the tunnel into the open area with the shipwreck, turn left, and you’ll spot the jar-shaped cave.
The Nevron needs an intact mine, and luckily for you, there’s one close by. Turn right from the Demineur and walk to the edge of the ledge. Jump across the pillars to reach the other side, then turn right again. After crossing another gap, you’ll notice a purple glint that marks a quest item. Grab it, then head back to White Nevron.
The Small Bourgeon
The next White Nevron you’re going to find is ‘Bourgeon’ in a place called “Small Bourgeon”. You can find the Small Bourgeon in the west of the Ancient Sanctuary entrance. When you interact with Bourgeon, he will ask you to help him get a Bourgeon skin so that he can grow himself, like the first Nevron ‘Jar’ asking for light.
You can obtain a Bourgeon Skin only by defeating a regular Bourgeon enemy. One can be found in the Lumiéran Streets area of Flying Waters. Take a left from the flag and follow the path until you reach it. Another appears to the right of the Stone Wave Cliffs entrance on the world map. Hand the skin to the Small Bourgeon, then rest at an Expedition Flag and return. When you come back, the Small Bourgeon will have grown into a much larger Bourgeon and will spit out a Color of Lumina as your reward. If you decide to attack it afterward, you’ll receive five additional Color of Lumina along with one Chroma Catalyst.
Hexga - Stone Wave Cliffs
The pale Hexga explains that, unlike the other Nevrons, it’s missing the shiny, glowing rocks that usually grow on their backs. Without them, it feels incomplete and weakened. The choice is yours, either you can walk away and leave the creature on its own, or take on an optional side quest to track down three glowing rock crystals and bring them back to help the Nevron recover.
When you first enter the cave near Hexga, slide down the chroma zipline, and you’ll spot the first crystal right in front of you. Turn left and follow the path up the slope. Along the cave wall, you’ll find a Color of Lumina, and just past it, there’s another rope and a large Nevron ready for you. Defeat the creature, and it will drop the second rock crystal.
You’ll find the third crystal near the large rock formations in the middle of the cave. Turn right from the place you defeated the Nevron earlier, turn right, and head toward the formation to spot it. If you decide to climb to the top, there’s also a Breaking Shots Pictos waiting there, which can be useful later if you’re running a Monoco break build. Head back to Hexga once you’ve collected the glowing rock crystals and give them to him. You'll receive the Auto Shell Pictos as your reward. If you choose to attack Hexga instead, you’ll get a Recoat, three Color of Lumina, and one Polished Chroma Catalyst.
Benisseur - Red Woods
This quest is much simpler than the previous ones. The Red Woods is a small area located west of Small Bourgeon, and you’ll know you’re close as the trees around you start turning red. Inside the zone, you’ll find a fountain that speaks to you if you offer it Chroma, the main currency in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. The fountain asks for several donations, with the amount increasing each time.
- First: 5,000
- Second: 10,000
- Third: 25,000
- Fourth: 50,000
There’s no time limit for this quest, so you can always come back later when you’ve saved more Chroma. After you make the final 50,000 donation, Benisseur appears and thanks you for your generosity by rewarding you with the Recovery Pictos.
This Pictos restores 10% of the user’s HP at the start of every turn, making it useful for builds that struggle with survivability.
If you are new or having a fresh start, you can get a LootBar game key and jump straight into the game, and can have access to optional story elements and the full experience of the game without any interruption.
Pale Troubadour - Stone Quarry
In Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, several optional areas open after you complete the main storyevents in the Forgotten Battlefield, and one of them is the Stone Quarry. When you arrive there, you’ll come across a pale Troubadour who accidentally killed his friends with his dangerous instrument. The Troubadour will ask you for your help in learning how to play the trumpet properly, wanting to use his trumpet to create music instead of destruction, as part of an optional side quest.
Once you agree to help the Nevron, a mock battle begins. The battle is more or less a training exercise. The Troubadour fires two kinds of notes at you, red and green. The red ones are “bad notes” that you’ll need to dodge or parry, while the green ones are the “correct notes” that actually heal you if they hit. So don’t avoid the green projectiles; let them connect.
If a red note hits you, the trial simply resets, and you’ll have to try that part again, but you won’t be kicked out of the encounter.
Complete all three trials, and you’ll earn the Healing Parry Pictos in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. If you decide to attack the Troubadour instead, the reward is much less impressive; you’ll only get a single Resplendent Chroma Catalyst.
Portier - Esoteric Ruins
You’ll find the White Portier inside the Esoteric Ruins. After leaving Monoco’s Station, head toward Old Lumiere, but take a left instead of entering the city. If you’re returning to the game later, you can also reach the area by sailing in from the north.
Inside the ruins, you’ll meet the Portier’s spirit, who will ask you to retrieve an item from the maze. It will also ask a question about the nature of a spirit, but your answer doesn’t actually change anything. The maze itself revolves around braziers that control which doors open or close. You can toggle them by shooting them with a Free Aim shot.
Light the brazier at the entrance first. Then go left into the next room and shoot the brazier back in the starting room. After that, light the brazier where you are and move ahead. In the next section, turn around and shoot the brazier in the room behind you. Once that’s done, the path forward will open - simply follow it to reach the end of the maze.
In the final area, you’ll find a Color of Lumina and some wooden boards. Bring the boards back to the spirit to receive the Protecting Heat Pictos in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. If you decide to attack the Portier afterward, the reward changes to one Polished Chroma Catalyst and three Color of Lumina.
Danseuse Teacher - Frozen Hearts
Frozen Hearts is an optional area northeast of Monoco’s Station, where you can explore any time after finishing the main story events. Once you enter the area, cross the bridge just past the Expedition 51 flag and follow the path up the mountain. Turn left into the cave and ride the Chroma line up to the next section. From there, take another left, and you’ll arrive at a train platform. Follow the tracks to the edge of the cliff, where you’ll see the Danseuse standing on a patch of frozen lava below.
Your task is to parry 15 consecutive attacks from the Danseuse. If you fail, you do get kicked out of the fight and must interact with the Danseuse to start again. Use headphones for better chances of parrying the attacks and listening to the sound cues that play right. Once you successfully parry everything, you'll get the Danseuse costume for Lune.
Chalier - Floating Cemetery
You can only reach the Floating Cemetery after starting Act 3 and restoring Esquie’s ability to fly in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. The area is located southwest of the Gestral Beach, which sits directly west of Monoco’s Station. Once you arrive, you’ll meet a Chalier who asks you to fight him - he wants to die, but not without a battle first.
Before the fight begins, the Chalier asks you to choose a weapon for him. You can pick a sword, spear, or hammer. Your choice won’t affect the outcome of the quest, but it does determine which weapon the Chalier uses during the fight. Each weapon gives him one unique attack, while the rest of his moves stay the same. In general, the spear or hammer tends to be the easiest to deal with.
After you win the fight, the Chalier will ask you to kill him. This is the only one you can or should kill. However, if you’d rather be cautious, consider saving this encounter for the last time. That way, you can always reload an earlier save before defeating the Chalier.
If you defeat the Chalier, you’ll receive the Auto Powerful Pictos. This Pictos automatically applies to the Powerful buff at the start of battle and keeps it active for the first three turns. However, if you decide to spare the Chalier, collect the final White Nevron reward from Blanche, and then return later to kill it, the Auto Powerful Pictos will no longer be available.
Based on testing and the general community responses, you can still earn Blanche’s reward even if you kill the Chalier, but only if you haven’t killed any other White Nevrons before.
Blanche - The Fountain
Finally, after completing all the quests, you get to meet Blanche. You will find him in The Fountain, an area west of Spring Meadows. To access the location, you need to have reached Act 3, like the floating cemetery, and to reach it, you need to fly.
Enter the Fountain and speak with Blanche. If the only White Nevron you killed was Chalier, she’ll reward you with 100 Color of Lumina. However, if you killed any other White Nevrons along the way, she would try to kill you. If that happens or if you decide to attack her after claiming the reward, you’ll receive 10 Color of Lumina and two Resplendent Chroma Catalysts after defeating her. Still, taking the violent route isn’t particularly worthwhile compared to the peaceful reward.
