What is Basin of Hyperspace?
Unlike the Chaos mode, most stages in the Basin of Hyperspace have a strict limit of twelve turns. To achieve 3 stars, you must clear all waves of enemies, all the while managing your cards. This ensures that you are not wasting turns on small damage. Also, every enemy has a shield. This is called the Tenacity Gauge. Breaking this is important so that you can enter the Breakthrough State. To get the essential cards that can break through the tenacity gauge, you can do a Chaos Zero Nightmare top up from LootBar.
Dimensional Twilight
Dimensional Twilight is the permanent path within the Basin of Hyperspace. It consists of 10 distinct floors and each has increasing combat power.
Basins 1 to 5
The difficulty focuses on your Memory Fragment levels for the first five floors. To clear these with 3 stars, your primary cards should be at least Level 40 and equipped with Gold Fragments.
These floors often feature enemies that absorb the first attack card at each turn. Always lead with the Basic Attack card to trigger this absorption. Once that’s out of the way, unleash the specialised attacks to deal damage.
Basins 6 to 10
These floors introduce Curse Cards and Stress modifiers. Your character suffers a breakdown as soon as the Stress Bar hits maximum. This debuff stops their cards from taking action in the remaining rounds.
Along all the basins, the 7th one is the most annoying of all the others. This is because it features high-evasion scouts. To overcome these enemies, you can use Accuracy or True Strike Epiphanies to avoid their dodge stacks.
The final boss has a massive health bar. It also has a regenerating shield. First, breaking the shield should be your priority to initiate the Breakthrough State. Then you need a team capable of dealing 10k+ damage in a single Breakthrough State to avoid regeneration of the shield.
Dimensional Dawn
Dimensional Dawn is the seasonal version of the gamemode. The rewards contain premium currency, Character Crystals, and exclusive Partners. Unlike the previous game mode, Dimensional Dawn stages reset periodically, introducing new Chaos Modifiers.
To clear the D10 stage, you must focus on Passion and Instinct attributes. Use characters that utilize 0 or 1 AP cards. The new AP Surge modifier grants +2 AP every 3 turns.
Rewards: Clearing the D10 stage is the only reliable way to farm Manifest Ego materials for 5-star characters without spending real money. However, if you want to progress faster, you can buy Chaos Zero Nightmare Crystals.
Best Team Compositions
A good Basin team requires a balance of AP Generation, Damage, and Healer or Buffer. Here are the three teams for the current Hyperspace.
Meta-Defining
- Main DPS: Sereniel
- Support or Buffer: Rei
- Utility: Veronica or Nia
Sereniel’s Ravage mechanic allows her to retrieve no-cost Homing Lasers. Rei applies Morale buffs specifically to 0 AP cards. This makes the lasers deal even greater damage. Veronica provides passive background damage with her Ballistas. This ensures that the enemies are still taking damage even if you have a bad draw turn.
Single-Target Specialists
- Main DPS: Mei Lin
- Sub-DPS: Selena
- Healer: Mika
Mei Lin utilizes the Unity of Attack and Defense mechanic to reduce card costs to zero. Selena acts as the perfect partner by applying Marks to the boss. Mei Lin can detonate this for 50% increased damage. Mika is the best F2P healer and generates extra AP via her no-cost recovery cards. All this is vital for finishing the fight within 12 turns.
Experimental or Advanced
- Main DPS: Kayron
- Exhaust: Tressa
- Buffer: Rei
This team relies on the Void and Exhaust mechanics. Tressa generates Shadow Daggers that apply Agony. It deals damage over time. Kayron’s damage increases for every Void card discarded. This build is slower than the previous ones. But it is much more effective against Basin 10 bosses as Agony damage bypasses shields.
Strategies for Achieving Full Stars
To secure every star in the Basin of Hyperspace, you must start manipulating the deck. Here are some tips to use:
- You have three uses of the Sands of Time per battle. Use these to reroll your Ultimate Skill or undo a card play if a boss triggers a counter-attack.
- The Basin bosses deal high Stress damage. Carry at least one Skill Card that provides both a shield and Stress reduction.
- Every Basin stage highlights specific attributes. Using the wrong attribute reduces your damage by 30 percent. So choose your teammates accordingly.
Memory Fragment Sets
Set Bonuses can give you an upper hand. Here are some sets you can use:
- The Vanguard Set: Good for your tank or support to generate 1 AP at the start of the fight.
- The Hunter Set: Good for Sereniel or Haru to increase damage by 15% when attacking enemies with less than 50% HP.
Conclusion
The Basin of Hyperspace in Chaos Zero Nightmare is a test of strategic play. You will always be successful if you can efficiently use your AP. By building a team that focuses on Tenacity breaks, you can ensure that your fight is well within the tight 12-turn limits. Aggressively managing your turn count also comes in handy. Just remember not to go for a slow and defensive build because that can go against the turn limitations. If you can manage to beat the enemies faster, achieving full stars is child’s play!
As you aim for higher floors and better rewards, investing in strong team compositions and optimized Memory Fragment sets will make a noticeable difference. If you’re looking to accelerate your progression and unlock top-tier cards faster, LootBar make it easy to top up Chaos Zero Nightmare, helping you stay competitive and conquer even the toughest stages with confidence.
