Capital Clash Patch and Other Changes in Dark War Survival

Dark War Survival reworked some gameplay mechanics in the middle of Season 5 after an update. These reworked mechanics include Capital Clash and Zombie Siege, both of which work a bit differently now. The way they function, the way they offer rewards, and some other things are different about them, so we’ll breakdown each one for players that don’t know the changes yet.

Helping allies and better teamwork in rallies is a lot more important following these changes. That means you’ll want to improve your troops and base as quickly as possible. If you need help with that, LootBar offers Dark War Survival rubies and more resources from the game at the best prices. You can use them to easily skip most of the grind and level up to become a much more valuable member of your Alliance and climb your server’s leaderboards.

A Rundown of Zombie Siege Changes

Before this patch, if zombies slammed your shelter and you had zero troops garrisoned, you got absolutely nothing in Defense Points even if you wiped the entire wave with reinforcements. Total robbery. Now you earn full Defense Points on any successful defense, garrisoned or not, and reinforcements still rack up their kill contribution for capital points. This really is a massive relief because you no longer have to babysit empty bases just to scrape points.

Zombie Siege in Dark War Survival

You can focus your resources on much more important bases or areas. Solo players and stretched alliances can finally lean on ally help without getting punished, teamwork pays off way better, and you can focus on surviving waves instead of parking troops everywhere. The only catch is you still get zero if the defense actually falls, so the pressure to hold the line stays real. But, that’s easy to avoid by placing troops in bases more prone to Zombie Sieges, while ignoring any that you don’t really want to protect in the first place.

A Rundown of Capital Clash Changes

Capital Clash used to be pure chaos with everyone launching rallies at Capital, Turret, trucks, and watchtowers all at once. The new rule is simple: every Survivor picks one lane and sticks to it. You either rally and reinforce the Capital or you go all-in on the Turret, no splitting, no swapping mid-fight. Rally capacity jumps by a flat 40,000 troops on top of the leader’s base, so committed pushes hit like trucks now.

Total points needed for full rewards sits at 5.7 million. That’s very much a grind and won’t be something players can achieve quickly. But, that’s not a bad thing since it’s another thing to focus on if you have nothing to do while there aren’t seasonal events going on. Guilds have to talk, presidents have to call shots, and random scatter attacks die out. Solo players or quiet alliances will feel the pain if they pick the wrong target, but organized groups are wiping objectives faster than ever. States 1-8 are live already and the rest roll out soon, so you can expect this change soon if it isn’t already implemented in your state.

A Rundown of Survival Preparedness Tweaks

Matchmaking in Survival Preparedness used to drag forever because it pulled random Survivors from anywhere. Now it prioritizes closer pools, so lobbies fill in seconds and feel way more balanced. Queues are snappier, groups are tighter, and you spend less time staring at a loading screen. There’s not a lot to mention here. But, there are some really good QoL changes here that make Survival Preparedness a lot better.

Survival Preparedness in Dark War Survival

In general, this update is a really positive one and fixes some issues while adding more to Capital Clash and other parts of Dark War Survival. The game itself is mostly the same and these changes are the only big things to look out for after this update. Use all this new information to its full potential by getting Dark War Survival ruby top ups from LootBar at the best prices so that you’re one of the strongest members of your Alliance.

Conclusion

Capital Clash, Zombie Siege, and all these other changes in Season 5 are slowly making Dark War Survival much more fun for players. This entire season has been one giant step in the right direction, at least in a lot of players’ view. There have been good events that don’t require too much grind or buying things, there have been good changes to gameplay, and overall the game is slowly becoming more accessible. If you want to take advantage of all these changes and become a better player, make sure to top up Dark War Survival on LootBar and improve your troops.
