Hello, Brawler! After the excitement of the 1000 Mastery event, it’s time to gear up for the next big update. Brawl Stars Season 40 – Legends of the Underworld kicks off on July 3, and it’s packed with fresh content. This season introduces two new Brawlers, a variety of new skins, and major changes to Trophy Road and the brand-new Records system. Plus, the fan-favorite Angels & Demons event is making its return. Let’s dive into everything coming to Brawl Stars this July!
New Brawler: Alli
In July, the new Mythic Brawler Alli will be released. Alli’s trait causes her to become enraged and increases her movement speed when tracking enemies with less than full health.
Her main attack, Swamp Swipe, dashes forward while swiping enemies. If she is in a bush or water, she leaps forward instead. The attack’s range increases with her movement speed.
Her Super, Stalker, grants her stealth and reveals all enemies for a short time. Her next main attack deals extra damage based on the enemy’s current health—the higher the health, the more damage dealt.
While enraged, Alli regenerates health faster and reloads more quickly. Her next main attack also heals her for the damage dealt. Additionally, Alli can activate a 6-second enraged state when an enemy is visible.
New Brawler: Trunk
Trunk reminds us of the Ents from The Lord of the Rings. His main attack, Ant Attack!, causes him to spin in a circle after a short delay, dealing damage to enemies and dropping ants. Standing near these ants grants Trunk increased movement speed and damage. The edges of the attack deal extra damage.
His Super, Driven by Revenge (and Ants), propels Trunk toward enemies while dropping ants along the way. The ants can bounce off walls, extending their reach and pressure.
The ants also provide additional effects: they reduce damage taken from enemies (Insect Overlords) and grant vision when inside bushes (Colony Scouts). Trunk can instantly spread ants over a large area with For the Queen!
Lastly, with Worker Ants, Trunk heals from the next source of damage he takes for a short period. Together, these abilities give Trunk a balance of damage output, survivability, and area control in fights.
TROPHY ROAD REWORK
With this update, Trophy Road has been extended from 70,000 to 100,000 Trophies and reworked with a brand-new Starr Park theme! In this new Starr Park-themed world, you’ll progress through various Trophy Worlds, each representing different areas of the park and home to three Brawler trios. For now, you can explore Town Square and Retropolis, with more worlds coming in future updates.
Updated Rewards:
- Legendary Starr Drops
- Hypercharge Starr Drops
- Mythic Starr Drops
- Starr Drops
- Power Points
- Coins
- Credits
- Bling
Many of these rewards come from the retired Mastery system, making the new Trophy Road more rewarding than ever. Unclaimed rewards will be automatically added to your account, and yes — you’ll still earn rewards, including Hypercharge Starr Drops and Bling, even in worlds you haven’t unlocked yet.

No Mastery, But Records
With Masteries removed, the game now features Records as the new achievement system. Players complete in-game goals—ranging from simple tasks like winning 10 games with a Brawler to more challenging ones such as scoring a goal after every teammate touches the ball in Brawl Ball. This system offers a fresh way to track progress and earn rewards.
Most Records grant Starr Drops, while the hardest ones award unique cosmetics or Legendary Starr Drops, similar to the exclusive rewards from the old Mastery tracks. Resource rewards from Masteries have been moved to Trophy Road and included in Records’ Starr Drops. Unclaimed Mastery rewards will be delivered automatically after the update.
You can complete Records to earn Record Points, which increase your Record Score and let you level up your Record Level (up to 10 levels at launch). As your Record Level rises, you can unlock unique Battle Cards, have your highest level shown on your profile, and send notifications to your Club. You can access Records once you reach 350 Trophies, and the Mastery icon on Battle Cards has been replaced by the Ranked icon.
Rewards include:
- Starr Drops
- Legendary Starr Drops
- Unique cosmetics
- Resource rewards (via Trophy Road)
Angels & Demons Return!
In July, another exciting update is the return of the Angels & Demons event. This event received great praise last year. Over the next two months—July and August—there will be two 12-day event periods. You can use Angelic and Demonic Skills that grant your Brawlers powerful new abilities. Unlike the first event, all Skills start unlocked for you right from the beginning. You will begin with one Skill Slot unlocked and can unlock up to two more by opening Angelic or Demonic Starr Drops. This allows you to combine up to three Skills to strengthen your Brawler. Each Skill has a main trait, and some gain extra effects when combined with others. Skill Slots will glow when powers have special synergy, encouraging you to try different combinations to find the best setups for each game mode.
New Skins in Season 40: Legends of the Underworld
In the upcoming Legends of the Underworld season, several new skins will be released. Some of them can be unlocked through the Brawl Pass, including Hades Mortis, Serapis Mortis, and Pluto Mortis, with Serapis and Pluto being Chroma variants. In addition to the Brawl Pass rewards, there will be several paid skins available for purchase with gems:
- Persephone Lumi (Super Rare – 79 Gems)
- Hypnos Sandy (Legendary – 299 Gems)
- Pegasus Berry (Epic – 149 Gems)
- Icarus Bonnie (Super Rare – 79 Gems)
- Sheepish Darryl (Epic – 149 Gems)
In summary, 3 skins are included in the Brawl Pass, while 5 others require gem purchases. If you're planning to grab any of the paid skins, don’t forget you can top up your Brawl Stars Gems on LootBar at a discounted price!
