Soi Fon's release
Captain of the second division and commander of the stealth force, Soi Fon is the newest character being added to the games roster and is one of the most important characters to be released for a few months now. Bleach fans may be wondering: why is Soi Fon so important? Well she's going to be the first limited banner SSR strike unit! This is a big deal, as strike units have been entirely absent from the limited banner since the games release back in november 2025, only having two other SSR strike units that are on the standard banner.
Soi Fon will be a tactic DPS character, specialising in flash-step assaults and burst damage, specifically, her battlefield skill will apply a "Homonka" mark and detonating or applying this mark will weaken the enemy with a "Fragile" state debuff. Attacking an enemy with this debuff will then trigger additional "Sting Kill" ailment damage whenever the enemy is attacked. The ailment damage is an interaction between her battlefield skill and special attack, giving full access to her shikai state, which also means her ultimate attack will give her access to her bankai for one large instance of damage. Now, players may recognise that tactic characters usually have short times on field, and that remains true for Soi Fon as well, functioning as a support-utility DPS and allowing her to properly enable full assault characters, most importantly Yoruichi. Yoruichi Shihoin's buffs
The thunder beast, Yoruichi, is a full assault strike character who is available on the standard banner. She deals high single target damage with her ultimate and is the core DPS of any strike based teams. So if she's getting buffed, does that mean she was bad? No, Yoruichi has been the best strike character in the game for well over 4 months now, and she will only be getting stronger with her new teamate Soi Fon as well as expected significant buffs to her kit. So what can you expect? It is confirmed she will be getting a special interaction with Soi Fon for a high speed attack synergy. Fans of the Bleach anime or manga will know the two have a very close relationship with each other, so it only makes sense that they would benefit in some way by being on the same team. Szayelaporro Granz leaks
Espada number 7, the arrancar of madness, Szayelaporro is the most recently leaked character, expected to release on April 24th, being a spirt character. Unfortunately there is no confirmation of whether he will be a full assault or support character, but based on previous limited banner runs it is seemingly likely for him to be a support character, allowing him to slot into spirit teams, with noteable teamates like Toshiro Hitsugaya and Aizen. If he is based anything on his story appearences, he may be a healer of sorts, linking to his scientific prowess and special ability in his resurreccion form to essentially revive himself when near death. Either way, he most definitely will have all kinds of unsettling abilities that tie into his twisted perfectionism and the downright psychological torment he places the heroes of the Bleach universe in.
Szayelaporro seems to mark a turning point in Bleach: Soul Resonance, as the second arrancar character to be expected, first being Nelliel, it seems the game is potentially starting to pivot away from the Soul Society and its' captains, focusing on Hueco Mundo and the espada. This is also backed up by the story campaign, which is now fully in the Hueco Mundo arc of the Bleach story, meaning fan favourite antagnoists such as Ulquiorra, who already has an in game enemy model, have high chances to appear on the limited banner in the future.
Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez leaks
Espada number 6, the arrancar of destruction, Grimmjow has also been leaked to appear on the limited banner soon. This leak has been around for months now, but it seems the time will potentially come on Bleach: Soul Resonance's half anniversary on May 15th. So what is there to know? Grimmjow is expected to be the second SSR strike character, being a full assault type, possibly replacing Yoruichi in future premium strike teams. His kit should match manga counterpart, with his volatile personality and violent combat style, similar to that of Kenpachi Zaraki, providing an aggressive on field playstyle.
