How does Soi Fon work in Bleach: Soul Resonance?
The basics
Soi Fon is a tactic type character who doubles as a strike-type dps and tactical support unit by dealing high damage and reducing enemy strike resitances, making her perfect for strike focused teams. An ideal rotation with her focuses on using her ultimate as many times as possible, to deal high damage numbers, and releasing Time's up special attacks to enable one of her teamates to use their counterattacks. It's also important to note that when using her technique or battlefield skill, the level timer temporarily stops to represent her immense speed, similarly to Yoruichi who can trigger the same effect.
Time's up - Special Attack
Performing attacks as Soi Fon fills up her spiritual pressure gauge, enabling the specal attack - Time's Up after her 5th normal hit, which deals good damage, applies a homonka mark, and enables one of her teammates to perform their counterattack move.
Deathmarks and Battlefield energy
Balancing these two resources is key in maximising Soi Fon's damage output with her battlefield skill Stealth Force's Battle, luckily it's extremely simple. Her battlefield skill essentially acts a bar (deathmarks) and a counter (battlefield energy), where she needs 20 total battlefield energy to release her battlefield skill. So how do we get that energy? Well when Soi Fon attacks, she generates deathmarks, filling a yellow bar; then when her teammates attack, those deathmarks are consumed, triggering a small combo attack by Soi Fon and generating battlefield energy points depending on how much of the bar is used.
Homonka mark
Soi Fon's Homonka mark acts as a debuff reducing their strike resistance from all sources which is easily triggered by simply attacking, after which if a second Homonka mark is applied, it detonates, causing an instance of ailment damage called Sting.
Special interactions with Yoruichi
Bleach fans will know that Yoruichi and Soi Fon have a close, mentor like relationship, and that is represented in some of Soi Fon's passive boosts where Yoruichi receives double the boosts compared to other characters.
