Rukia Kuchiki, the adoptive sister of Byakuya Kuchiki, is just as cool in the game as she is in the anime, and her skills are honestly impressive. She has a stern expression most of the time, and behind that seemingly calm facade is a honed instrument of war. Rukia excels at crowd control and tactical support, a professional at defeating hordes of enemies at once. She has excellent freeze mechanics and sets up the enemies for the Main DPS to finish off.
Rukia Kuchiki is an SR-ranked Tactic character who isn’t as efficient to work as a main DPS but is strong nonetheless. Her brother, Byakuya Kuchiki, is also an excellent Tactical support but is an SSR-ranked character and hence requires you to either grind to gather enough Spirit Coins or just go for the BLEACH Soul Resonance top-up from LootBar.

Rukia Kuchiki - An overview
In the anime, Rukia is shown as an aloof lady with a cool and lone demeanor, but in the game, this same lone wanderer gaze holds the power to end the battle in seconds.
Her stats at Level 50 are as follows:
- Power – 8689
- ATK – 1126
- Def – 1064
- HP – 5887
Rukia is one of the most likable characters in the game, not just because of how cool she is in the anime but because of how strong and reliable she is in the game. The usual fan favorites would obviously want to root for her.
Rukia’s Best Skills
Technique
In her technique titled “Tsuginomai Hakuren”, Rukia points her sword at the enemy and releases an avalanche-level chill, which deals damage equal to 168% of ATK to the enemies standing on the front. It also freezes the non-elite enemies for 2 seconds, and for the elite and bosses, it inflicts 50 freeze points.
Ultimate
Rukia’s ultimate is titled “Somenomai Tsukishiro,” and in this, she spins and creates a circle with its tip to create a frozen realm up ahead, and this circle deals damage equal to 316% of ATK caught in the circle, also making them freeze for 4 seconds.
Passive Skills
Her passive skills have been categorized as follows:
- Freeze: (Core Passive) In this passive, some of Rukia’s attacks will inflict freeze points. If an enemy reaches 100 points of freeze, they will become frozen for 2 seconds.
- Necrosis: (Passive Boost 1) This passive allows Rukia to trigger “Breaking Ice” and reduces the enemy’s resistance of all type by 15% for 20 seconds. This passive cannot be stacked.
- Solid Ice: (Passive Boost 2) This only works when the Chill Release Battlefield Skill is active. This passive boost reduces the damage on the on-field characters by 22.5% and also restores their HP by 3% of their Max HP every second.
Battlefield Skills
Pure Snow
While it's active, all teammates' DMG increases by 15%. This skill of hers also releases Ice Sword Wave and Chill Release, which increase when her teammates perform basic attacks, special attacks, and techniques.
Breaking Ice
When a teammate attacks a frozen enemy for more than 1 second, it triggers Breaking Ice once and deals extra damage of 65% of Rukia’s ATK. But here’s the fun thing: the enemies who have been frozen by Ultimate can trigger Breaking Ice multiple times.
Icy Sword Wave
This skill requires the battlefield skill energy to be maxed. When it's been maxed, Rukia will appear on the field and release a chilling sword wave, dealing damage equal to 88% of ATK, and inflicting 25 Freeze points.
Chill Release
This skill requires 3 stacks of Chill before it can work. In this, Rukia plants the Sodenoshiyayuki into the ground, and that releases all chill, dealing damage equal to 174% of ATK to all the enemies, also freezing them for 2 seconds.
Leveling up Skills and Ascension
The correct order is necessary to follow when leveling up the skills. Leveling up the unnecessary skills can just waste your resources. So here is how to level up her skills in a proper order:
Passive Skills -> Battlefield Skills -> Ultimate -> Technique -> Basic Attack -> Counter -> Dodge
Getting the ascension material for her boundaries requires you to have duplicates of the same character, which requires a lot of grinding to get all that currency to recruit 4 Rukias, but this is where we got you. Don’t want to grind, just buy BLEACH Soul Resonance Spirit Coins.
For Rukia’s Ascension, it is no doubt that Boundary Ascension VI is the best because it not only releases the Battlefield Skill Chill Release immediately after the battle begins, but also reduces the Enemy’s spirit resistance by 15% for 20 seconds, and for that, those enemies either need to be in the range of the Battlefield Skill Chill Release or need to trigger Breaking Ice.
But if you do not want to go all in and are just hunting for the good stuff, then her Boundary Ascension II is the one for you. It increases her Battlefield Skill Icy Sword Damage by 30% and if the Battlefield Skill Chill Release is triggered, it grants a 66% chance to release a second Ice Spike and a 33% chance to release a third.
Best Stamps or Accessories
Set Stamp
Her best Stamp is obviously going to be the Blooming Sakura, which increases her Ultimate charge rate by 22% and also her Battlefield Skill damage by 30%. If you don’t have Blooming Sakura, then any relic regarding Boosting Healing Abilities will do as well.
Core Stamp
The best Core Stamp you could get for Rukia is Enshrouded in Blizzard as it increases her Ultimate Damage by 60% and also extends the duration of her Freeze by 4 seconds. As an alternative, you could go for Back-to-Back Combat, which boosts all the battlefield skills and also triggers an additional attack. But the exclusive one is something that you’d definitely want for her if you really want to maximize her potential.
Team Compositions
In terms of team setups, these could be followed for Rukia Kuchiki:
F2P Friendly
- Main DPS – Ichigo (Shikai)
- Secondary Damage Dealer – Rukia Kuchiki
- Support – Orihime Inoue
Full-Spirit Team
- Main DPS – Ururu Tsumugiya (best at her A6)
- Secondary Damage Dealer – Rukia Kuchiki
- Support – Orihime Inoue
The Slapper Team
- Main DPS – Ichigo (Shikai)
- Secondary Damage Dealer – Rukia Kuchiki
- Support – Kisuke Urahara
Conclusion
For now, we don’t have any decent Spirit Main DPS, well, that is, until Toshiro arrives in the game. Now, keep in mind that Toshiro is a must-pull character, and pairing Rukia with him is going to make an absolutely broken team. Rukia can come quite in handy when handled correctly and is a reliable Tactical Support in difficult situations.
