Before starting your search for all of the Loong Pearls, you must get the Loong Scales. This key item lets you open up some secret areas where the optional Yaoguai King bosses you want to face hide.
To get this key item, head through the Sandgate Village in Chapter 2 and progress until you take down the King of Flowing Sand and his Second Rat Prince son. After this fight, continue progressing left of the boss area, where you’ll eventually find a large open area facing a cliff in the Valley of Despair.
If you defeated the son only in the previous fight, then the father will summon his first son in a cutscene. If you beat the father too, then you’ll have to use the Pungent Flesh Chunk key item to summon him yourself.
After he’s summoned, you want to make him use his slam attack to cause a nearby door to get a noticeable crack. The Loong Scales are found inside a chest in the newly opened area. If you accidentally beat the first son or aren’t able to bait him properly, you can use a handful of powerful attacks to crack the door yourself. Some recommended attacks include the Wandering Wight’s Spirit Attack and the Azure Dust Transformation Spell’s final attack.

With the Loong Scales in hand, you can now start challenging and beating all of the enemies who drop Loong Pearls in Black Myth: Wukong.
Before anything, it’s important to note that the mandatory boss Kang-Jin Star in Chapter 4 of the game also drops a Loong Pearl. Since she’s a mandatory boss, you just need to progress in the game until you reach a section with a large turtle island, at which point you’ll know that the boss is close.
Where is the Red Loong in Black Myth: Wukong?
The Red Loong is found in Chapter 1 and requires the Loong Scales. Return to the Forest of Wolves and walk outside the Forest Shrine area. Continue following the path to the left until you eventually reach a large waterfall with four statues nearby. Interact with the spot in front of the waterfall to use the Loong Scales and evaporate the waterfall, revealing the path that leads to the Red Loong.
Where is the Black Loong in Black Myth: Wukong?
The Black Loong is definitely easier to find than the first one. Travel to the Rockrest Flat Shrine in Chapter 2, which you reach shortly after exiting the Valley of Despair, where you found the Loong Scales in the first place. Climb the long stairs next to the shrine to get the option to interact with the sandfall. Use the power of the Loong Scales to open the path forward, letting you face the Black Loong.

Directly after the section where you fight Kang-Jin Star, you land on another island on the Bitter Lake. Just look at the side of this island to find Cyan Loong’s body frozen, just right of the Turtle Island Shrine. Use the power of the Loong Scales to defrost his body and challenge him to a battle.
Where is the Yellow Loong in Black Myth: Wukong?
The last of the four Loong dragons can only be fought in Chapter 4. Shortly after defeating the Right Hand of Buddha and crossing its corpse, use the rope bridge you see at the end of the Middle of the Webbed Hollow area. Follow the path up, and you’ll eventually reach a Shrine at the Relief of the Fallen Loong with the Yellow Loong waiting for you. Use the power of the Loong Scalles to trigger the fight and get your Loong Pearl.
