Overview
As the main storyline comes to an end, players will have to face the final boss in order to mark the completion of the game. The final boss fight is not a single round fight as you have defeat 2 bosses:
- The Stone Monkey
- The Great Sage’s Broken Shell
Practically, both are the same character but have different abilities and ways of fighting. Each of the bosses have two phases and you need to defeat them in both the phases.
The Stone Monkey
The Stone Monkey is the first boss that you will encounter in the Final boss fight. The face-off against the Stone Money tests your preparation, focus and patience. This is going to be a two-phase fight and one should prepare their builds for it beforehand:
Location
Once you get the LootBar game key and when you reach the climax of the game, go to Water Curtain Cave’s Peak of Innocence, where players will be guided to enter the Birthstone and after a short cut scene, they will meet the Stone Monkey.
Phase I
In the first phase, Stone Monkey primarily uses fast paced punches which need to be dodged at all const, don’t try to block them and keep a safe distance to build up Focus. The Stone Monkey will often jump into the air and slam the ground to deal AOE damage, you need to stay out of the AOE. At around 70% HP, the boss disappears and tries to ambush you. To avoid his ambush, watch for ripples in the water to predict his move and dodge it. The main goal to defeat him in Phase I is to charge your staff up to 4 focus points to unleash the heavy staff.
Phase II
After completing the first phase, the Phase II starts after a cutscene where the Stone Monkey restores his full HP and his fists gain the power of fire and ice. The moves remain almost identical to the previous phase but this time they are much more lethal due to the imbued elemental power. Use Body-Warming and Body Cooling Powders to reduce the damage.
After a while, he will split into two where each of the clones have the power of ice and fire. Focus your target on one and try to defeat one at a time.

The Great Sage’s Broken Shell
The second boss of the final boss encounter is none other than you. The Stone Monkey breaks down to reveal the Great Sage’s Broken shell boss who is a better version of you with access to all the skills and stances in the game. Just like the 1st boss, this is also going to be a 2 phase battle.
Location
In the Birthstone where you fought Stone Monkey. He will reveal himself after you defeat the Stone Monkey.
Phase I
At the start of the Phase I, the Great Sage will perfectly dodge each attack combo of yours that leaves behind an exploding afterimage. Your goal should be avoiding getting punished heavily by those explosions. To defeat the boss, the correct approach is to land a few hits, jump back and re-engage with your combos. Against the Great Sage, the Plantain Fan is an excellent asset to make the boss immobilize and deal your combo attacks.
Phase II
The real challenge starts in the Phase II of the battle where he removes all your relic buffs and forces you to rely only on Medicines, Curios and Spells. The Great Sage is a very cunning boss who can steal your Gourd while you are healing. The key to victory remains the same: build Focus from a safe distance, avoid long combos, and use the 4 Focus heavy staff only.
