The Best 5 Cards in the FC 26 Time Warp Promo
90-Rated Lionel Messi
Lionel Messi is Time Warp’s main attraction, leading this promo as the most expensive card by far. He may not look better than Garrincha based on Playstyles+ and face stats. But FC players know not to judge cards by their cover. Messi is extremely jammy, and his Finesse+ is absolutely broken. This card will send every finesse shot into the top corner. It’s the perfect card for the CAM position if you tend to attack with your CAMs a lot.
With base Incisive, Tiki Taka, Technical, Quick Step, 90 Pace, 90 Shooting, 89 Passing, and absolutely crazy 94 Dribbling, he’s an amazing creator that also doubles up as a second striker. You can just play him as your main striker too if that’s what you prefer, but his physicality may let you down. At 6m+, this Messi card is an insane CAM for both scoring and creating chances out of nothing. His left stick dribbling may very well be the best in the entire game so far.
93-Rated Garrincha
If his competition weren’t Lionel Messi himself, Garrincha would easily be the best card from Time Warp. With two Playstyles+ (Technical and Quick Step), 91 Pace, 87 Shooting, 93 Passing, and 95 dribbling, he’s the perfect creative RW. That 95 dribbling feels just as good as it sounds in-game, especially with his short build, Base Trickster, and 5* Skill Moves.
He’s currently around 1.8m in the market, and worth it for anyone that can abuse that insane dribbling potential he’s got. The only real downside to this card is that he’s got 4* Weak Foot, which wouldn’t be a huge deal if he wasn’t a right footed RW. But, he’s got Inventive at least to make that less of an issue while passing.
90-Rated Carles Puyol
After Stam in last week’s promo, EA gave us another no-nonsense CB in Time Warp with Carles Puyol. The old Barca captain has 2 Playstyles+, Bruiser and Block. He’s also got Base Anticipate, Slide Tackle, Jockey, and even Aerial Fortress to help with his low height in the CB position.
He’s really quick because of his build despite 83 Pace, which is decent for a CB. But it’s that 92 Defending and 90 Physicality that really make this card good along with the Playstyles. For 1m+, he’s a really good CB that can bully much taller attackers on the ground and in the air with ease.
91-Rated Andrea Pirlo
Pirlo’s Time Warp card, despite being a CDM mainly, actually shines most in his secondary CM position. He’s a great Deep-Lying Playmaker because of his 83 Defending, 94 Passing, and 91 Dribbling. Just like he did in real life, Pirlo’s card is great for starting moves out of nothing and sending your pacey wingers running after perfect through balls. And he has Base Intercept which really helps with his off the ball defending. Costing just less than 900k and having two Playstyles+ (Pinged Pass and Dead Ball), he’s a great CM that’s also a cheat code in the hands of anyone that knows how to take free kicks.
Him and the other's we've mentioned are the best of the best from the Time Warp promo. Suarez, Pogba, and Rues shine as honorable mentions too, but they’re nowhere near as good as these top-tier cards above.
