Best Blade Build to Clear Nightmare 4 in Marvel Rivals’ Zombies Event

If you’ve been playing Marvel Rivals’ new PvE zombies mode, you’re probably already at Nightmare 4. And if you’ve tried it, you know exactly how much of a step up in difficulty it is compared to all the other options. Even Nightmare 3 feels like a walk in the park compared to 4, which is exactly why most players are yet to clear it.

Blade is by far the best character for Nightmare 4, and we’re here to help you clear it by sharing the best build for him that worked for us. But, if you’re just looking to clear Nightmare 4 for the extra pumpkin shake in the Voyage To Astonish event pass, check out LootBar to get the premium pass for cheap and get lots more pumpkins.

Choosing Between The Two Trait Paths For Blade

Turning into a Beyblade with Blade’s blue traits (Daywalker Dash) is pretty fun. But, it’s not a viable option for Nightmare 4, which is why we recommending resetting all your skill points and dumping them into his red traits (Ancestral Sword). These will hard carry you, especially as the last trait offers 35% more lifesteal when maxed out. That’s a huge help in Nightmare 4, where enemies will do major damage.

Blade Traits in Marvel Rivals Zombies

Maxing out the Ancestral Sword will boost your primary attack speed and range a lot too, which is really good for clearing hordes while keeping your distance. You don’t want to be using the dash at all on enemies in Nightmare 4, since it’ll lock in you place and give enemies a chance to surround you. Instead, only use the dash as a way to get out of dangerous corners or chase down Wanda when she’s teleporting away.

The Best Blade Blessings To Buy For Nightmare 4

A maxed out Ancestral Sword will help you melt through all the other difficulties regardless of what blessings you choose. But it isn’t enough in Nightmare 4. You need the right blessings too if you want a shot at winning.

Choosing The Right Offensive Blessings

For offensive blessings, you want to spend all your Moon Power on the right Ancestral Sword blessings. Just like skill points, don’t spend any Moon Power on the Daywalker Dash in Nightmare 4. The only half-decent Daywalker Dash blessing is Spinning Slash, because it makes your attacks a lot longer.

That’s great for targeting Undead Sentinels or bosses and quickly stealing life to heal up. Funny enough, despite being directly tied to the Daywalker Dash ability, Spinning Slash will show up as an Ancestral Sword blessing.

Other than that, the offensive blessings you want to focus on are On The Hunt, which greatly increases Ancestral Sword Damage, Swift Edge, which does the same thing for attack speed, and Sweeping Edge, which does the same thing for attack range.

Ancestral Sword Blessings for Blade

From miscellaneous blessings, only focus on getting a single Sacrifice Sigil, which generates Ankhs to attack enemies. Also get a couple of blessings that spawn moon blades, since those provide good AoE damage when you’re surrounded.

Don’t waste any Moon Power on upgrading your ultimate or Daywalker Dash. Don’t waste any Moon Power on Power Surge to upgrade damage dealt either, unless it’s the purple or yellow rarity, since those are the only ones that offer a boost worth the price.

In short, you’ll only be attacking with your Ancestral Sword, so dump all the Moon Power into the blessings we specifically mentioned. And never, ever spend Moon Power on grey blessings of any kind. They’re a complete waste.

Choosing The Right Survival Blessings

Killing enemies in Nightmare 4 isn’t as hard as surviving them. Even regular foes will nearly one-shot you, which is exactly what makes Nightmare 4 feel so impossible. To avoid that, you want to get the right blessings for survivability.

For starters, you want the Full Moon blessing, which will give you more 10% more Moon Power each round. This is really helpful for finding the right blessings. Other than that, you want Vitality Boost which upgrades maximum health, and Moonlight Protection.

Survivability Blessings in Zombies Mode

Just like the offensive blessings, you’re not supposed to buy any grey ones. Only blue and above, since those offer so much “more value-for-money”. And speaking of value-for-money, you can get great deals on all the new Zombie event skins, the new Iron Man Big Shot skin, and a lot more in-game stuff by buying from LootBar!

Conclusion

Blade is the best hero for Nightmare 4, but even he can’t carry players to victory on his own in this difficulty. You need the right game plan, and we’ve given it to you above. Focus on the things we mentioned (as well as finding a good stack of teammates that do the same), and you’re sure to win.
