Event Overview
The Arknights × Limbus Collaboration Event officially launched on September 25, 2025, and will run till October 23, 2025 (KST). The event is hosted exclusively inside Limbus Company which means it is a one-sided crossover. If you are an Arknights player then you won’t see any event in your game, but you will find it in Limbus’s ongoing event schedule. To participate in the event you have to first clear main story stage 0-4 in Limbus Company. This requirement makes sure that even if you are a new player you can join without having to progress much into the campaign. However, the event’s storyline is a little bit connected to content after Chapter 8.5 (Spring Cultivation). So if you haven’t reached that point then you might encounter minor spoilers.
This is a limited-time event so all rewards, event currency, and exchange shop items will expire after the event ends. Make sure to redeem all items and complete all missions before the deadline.
Story & Narrative Role
Pilgrimage of Compassion is a unique narrative crossover chapter between Limbus Company and Arknights. The storyline does not replace any part of the main story but rather acts as a temporary side event. The event introduces mysterious characters similar to Arknights operators. Your Limbus characters will encounter strange and unfamiliar technology. The event also has the emotional storytelling style of Arknights.
Officially the developers have described it as a semi-standalone story that expands character backgrounds and adds thematic layers to both universes. It basically means that Arknights is connected to Limbus but you don’t have to understand the core plot of Limbus to participate.
Event Mechanics & Currency
The event follows the same loop as almost all other events in Limbus. You have to clear stages, earn event currency, and exchange it for rewards. In this event a special currency called Sea Terror Sample is used. You can collect this currency by completing new event stages, regular battles, and Mirror Dungeons during the collaboration period. You can spend your Sea Terror Samples in the event shop to purchase limited rewards like upgrade materials, E.G.O gifts, and exclusive items based on the crossover theme. Each stage of the event offers a specific drop rate of the currency and higher-difficulty stages will give you more currency.
The event also introduces a Target Extraction banner which is a special gacha pool. Here you can get three of the four new Arknights-themed E.G.O units. You can unlock the remaining one through event progression milestones. This makes sure that even if you are a free-to-play player you can still get at least one crossover reward. The cost of fully collecting all four E.G.O units is about 52,000 lunacy.
New E.G.O Units & Their Inspirations
This collaboration introduces four limited E.G.O units. Each one is a creative reinterpretation of a popular Arknights operator. These designs mix the art styles of both universes which makes them instantly recognizable but still very Limbus-like.
Tidal Elegy Ishmael - This is the main event reward unit which is inspired by Skadi from Arknights. Her E.G.O focuses on aquatic energy and sharp physical attacks which fit both her lore and combat style.
Command: Meltdown Faust - This banner E.G.O portrays Faust as a cold, tactical scientist with destructive biological power and is inspired by Kal’tsit and Monst3r. She has abilities like calculated precision and intelligent control, similar to Kal’tsit’s abilities.
To Remain Oneself Hong Lu - This E.G.O takes inspiration from Ling who is an Arknights operator known for her mastery of illusions. Hong Lu channels unreal projections and serene combat forms which combine elegance with chaos in battle.
Unbrilliant Glory Gregor - Gregor’s crossover E.G.O features a knightly yet tragic persona inspired by Mlynar. His attacks mix brute strength with disciplined swordsmanship which very much reflects Mlynar’s original character.
You can get Tidal Elegy Ishmael for free through event missions. However, the other three have to be unlocked using the gacha banner. All four E.G.O are available only during this event, and once the event ends they will be removed from Limbus forever. If you don’t have these characters in Arknights then you can top up Arknights account. Using those resources, you can buy the characters and experience them first before jumping into the collaboration.
