What is Orundum?
Orundum is the headhunting currency in Arknights. A single pull costs 600 Orundum and a 10-pull costs 6,000, so the math on saving for a banner is pretty straightforward. Lore-wise it's an artificial material refined from Originite Prime, once used as a conductor for Originium Arts before becoming a store of value alongside gold and silver. But in practice, it's just what stands between you and your next Operator. Knowing where to farm it, and how much you can realistically earn week to week, is the difference between sparking a banner and missing the unit you actually wanted.
How to Get Orundum in Arknights
There are a handful of regular Orundum sources in Arknights. From daily missions and Annihilation to shop purchases and limited campaigns. None of them is massive on its own. Stacked together, they add up to enough pulls to make a real dent in any banner. Below are the main ways to earn Orundum.
Arknights Daily and Weekly Missions
Daily and Weekly Missions are the bread and butter of F2P Orundum and Pulls farming. Clearing every daily mission nets 100 Orundum a day, and the weekly mission set adds another 500 Orundum on top of that. Add it up across seven days, and missions alone are worth 1,200 Orundum, or exactly two pulls a week with zero effort beyond logging in.
It's the most boring source on this list, but also the most reliable. Skipping a few days here and there is how Doctors end up short on currency the next time a banner they want rolls around.
Arknights Annihilation Operation
Annihilation is the biggest single weekly source of Orundum in Arknights. Doctors earn it by clearing Annihilation stages, with the payout scaling based on how many enemies they take out in a run. The catch is the weekly cap, which starts at 1,200 Orundum but climbs as Doctors hit specific story and mission milestones:
- Clear Lungmen Outskirts to raise the cap to 1,600
- Clear Lungmen Downtown to raise the cap to 1,700
- Complete the Annihilation Rotation kill missions to push it to 1,800
Once all three are done, Annihilation alone is worth 1,800 Orundum per week, or three full pulls before anything else gets added in. There are also one-time clear rewards from Rotating Missions worth up to 1,500 Orundum (or 2,300 since the Grand Bazaar update), and those don't reset when the Rotation changes, so the progress carries forward even if Doctors skip a week.
Arknights Commendations Store
The Commendations Store is where Doctors trade Commendation Credits for Orundum stocks. There are two tiers worth paying attention to:
- Tier 1 has 6 stocks of 100 Orundum at 40 Credits each, capping at 600 Orundum per refresh
- Tier 3 has unlimited stocks of 30 Orundum at 50 Credits each
Tier 1 is the obvious priority. 100 Orundum for 40 Credits is just a way better rate than 30 for 50, and the cap on stocks means it's quick to clear out each refresh. Tier 3 is really only worth touching once Doctors have run out of better things to spend Credits on, since the rate is bad enough that it adds up slowly even with unlimited stock.
The Monthly Card gives 200 Orundum per day for 30 days (6,000 total), plus 6 Originite Prime worth another 1,080 Orundum on activation. That's over 7,000 Orundum, or roughly 12 pulls, from a single purchase. Doctors can grab it at a discount through LootBar's Arknights top-up page.

Arknights Paradox Simulation
Paradox Simulation is a set of one-time challenge stages tied to individual Operators. Each first clear is worth 200 Orundum, which isn't a lot on its own but adds up quickly once Doctors start grinding through them.
The payoff is biggest for newer accounts, where there's usually a backlog of unlocked stages sitting unfinished. Working through them can easily outpace a week of mission income, and once a stage is cleared, it's done, so it's a clean one-time injection of currency rather than a recurring source to budget around.
Arknights Events
Events are one of the most variable sources of Orundum and Pulls in Arknights, but also one of the most lucrative when they hit. Limited events, side stories, and especially anniversary campaigns regularly hand out Orundum through event shops, mission rewards, and login bonuses. The exact amounts shift from event to event, but a well-stocked anniversary celebration can easily put Doctors a couple of 10-pulls ahead with very little effort.
- Arknights In-Game Mail
In-Game Mail is the catch-all delivery system for Orundum and Pull drops outside of regular gameplay. Hypergryph routinely sends Orundum as compensation for maintenance, bug fixes, or other server-side issues, usually in modest amounts per drop but frequent enough to add up over time. Anniversary rewards, milestone celebrations, and surprise gifts also land directly in the mailbox, and these are typically much larger, often clearing thousands of Orundum in a single claim. None of it requires anything beyond logging in and tapping claim, which makes mail the lowest-effort source of free Orundum in the game.
Conclusion
That covers all the main free Orundum and Pull sources in Arknights. From daily and weekly missions, Annihilation operations, and Commendations Store stocks to Paradox Simulation clears, event rewards, and the steady drip of in-game mail compensation. For Doctors who'd rather skip the grind and pull on a banner today, LootBar offers discounted Arknights top-ups so you can grab the Operators you actually want without waiting on the next weekly reset.
