What are Comet Igniters in Arc Raiders?
Comet Igniters are a resource that can be obtained from the new Comet ARC after killing it. Obtaining the resource is hard because Comets are hard to kill, due to their higher health, which requires massive amounts of damage. There is no other way to acquire Comet Igniters, and the item can’t be found as loot. It is only possible to get it as an enemy drop from the Comet ARC. How to get Comet Igniters
Currently, there is only one way for you to obtain Comet Igniters, and that is to loot them after killing the Comet ARC. You have to make sure you defeat the enemy yourself, and if it explodes on its own, the Igniter will be destroyed alongside the Comet.

What is the Comet ARC?
The Comet ARC is a new enemy type that was added to the game in the Shrouded Sky update. The spherical ground-based ARC is heavily armored and hard to shake off once you get into its sights. It is more aggressive than other ARC enemies and will even explode to deal damage. This is an issue because if you don’t destroy the ARC before it self-explodes, you will lose the chance of looting a Comet Igniter.

The way a Comet ARC fights is straightforward:
It rolls over outdoor terrain
It targets you as soon as it spots you
It starts a self-destruct sequence
It typically tries to explode near you
If the ARC explodes, the Igniter is destroyed with it
Where to find Comet ARCs
Comets can typically be found outside across all maps, except for Stella Montis, because that particular map lacks outdoor terrain. The enemy can be spotted from a distance as it emits a glow, and as you get closer, you can identify it by its spherical shape. Initially, the Comet should have a neutral light, which changes to yellow to signal that you’ve been detected, and then to red to signal that it will attack. The enemy attacks by rolling towards you and detonating with an AOE. Comets spawn less than other ARCs, and are usually found near other outdoor enemies, which makes it harder to fight them.
These locations have been noted to be high-spawn for Comets:
Buried City: The enemy tends to spawn near the Plaza Rosa
Dam Battlegrounds: You can usually find it near the Control Tower
Spaceport: It can be spotted in the open area near structures
The Blue Gate: The ARC is usually patrolling farms and fields
How to kill Comet in Arc Raiders
Killing the Comet ARC is difficult because the enemy starts its self-destruct sequence after spotting you, making it a timed fight. Here are some elements you can use to hunt the ARC more efficiently.
Weapon
This is the most important element in a fight against a Comet, because you want to be the one to land the final blow.
High-DPS weapon: Using a heavy hitter like the Hullcracker is the best way to defeat the ARC in the least amount of shots
Explosive: The ARC has a tendency to track targets after spotting them and explode, and you can also use seeker grenades to track and explode, killing the enemy
Avoid slower weapons: Don’t use single-shot weapons or slower ones that can make you lose precision time
Team coordination
If you aren’t fighting the ARC solo, then you can strategize in a way that is most effective.
Spread out: Cover the ARC from all corners and attack before it can explode
Assign roles: Make sure each team member knows what they need to do
