All Identity V Season 40 Essence 1 costumes
Like with every previous season, players can expect Identity V’s Season 40 to have multiple costumes of different tiers. The first and arguably most important costume will be the S-tier Memory Scar costume for Queen Bee. Considering Queen Bee will be coming to the game this season, it makes sense that the game’s debut character will get an S-tier costume based on her.
The Memory Scar costume is beautiful, giving the character a white cape that has a certain blue-ish hue. Not to mention, she wears a skirt that shows her slender legs, while also having beautiful ornaments on her head, dress, hands, and feet, giving her an almost magical appearance. Memory Scar is correct because this skin feels like a fleeting memory.
The marketing image for the upcoming essence also showcases the upcoming A-tier skins. These skins are:
The Mourning Thought costume for the Prospector
The Stilled Hours costume for the Novelist
Both of these named skins will be acquirable as soon as the new season launches, and LootBar will be your best bet for getting your hands on them. Both costumes give off magical looks, with the skin for the novelist giving him a green hat and suit, while the Prospector has a hat with a flower-like ribbon decorating the edge.
Finally, the following characters are slated to get B-tier costumes in Identity V Season 40 Essence 1, but the costumes’ names and appearances haven’t been revealed yet.
Barmaid
First Officer
Gardener
Sculptor
While not connected to the season’s theme, the Cowboy will also get the Tidings of Spring A-tier costume as part of the Once Series collection. He’ll also come to the game alongside the new season’s launch.
All Identity V Season 40 Essence 2 costumes
Like with the first essence, players will have the opportunity to acquire multiple skins during the second essence of Identity V Season 40. The standout S-tier costume this time around is the Mayfly skin for the First Officer.
Contrasting the first essence’s S-tier costume, this costume has a completely machine-filled look, giving the character some work goggles, a completely mechanical body and face, and blue hair. He also has what seems to be a light cloak, giving him the look of someone akin to the leader of a rebellion.
The A-tier costumes that players can expect during this essence include:
The No Heart costume for the Mad Eyes
The No Passage costume for the Goatman
Both of these costumes were also showcased in the marketing image for this essence. Like with the S-tier costume for this essence, both of the A-tier costumes also have elements relating to a robotic future, suggesting that the entire essence may be based around this concept.
Like with the previous essence, four characters will also get B-tier costumes. Unfortunately, it’s currently unknown who these characters will be, which means that all we can do is wait for some official information to come out.
All Identity V Season 40 rank treasures
While the season will naturally have some B-tier rank treasures, it makes sense that most players want to know what the S-tier and A-tier rank treasures for Identity V Season 40 will be. Fortunately, a marketing video has already revealed what they look like.
First, there’s the S-tier Scepter of Deceit accessory for the Thief. This accessory is placed on the character’s side, giving him what seems to be the power of illusions. While this is naturally all cosmetic, it definitely makes a difference when playing as the character.
Next, there’s the A-tier Celestial Key accessory for the Psychologist. This accessory is placed on the character's waist, granting her the power of the stars and the moon. Finally, there’s the Family Bond A-tier accessory for Hell Ember. This accessory isn’t anything too special to write home about compared to this season’s S-tier accessory, but it still gives some added effects when equipped.
When will Season 40 of Identity V come out?
Season 40 of Identity V is slated to kick off on November 27, 2025, as that’s when the first essence will begin. This essence will continue for 20 days, after which the season’s second essence will come out on December 18. Following this release pattern, the second essence will likely also last 20 days, with the next season scheduled for release on January 9, 2026.
