What is the Hopscotch Puzzle
In Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, The Hopscotch Puzzles are a new mini game that are added in Verso's draft. These are a significant part of your expedition journey and one needs to complete the puzzles to obtain the rewards.
The puzzle is actually a children's game where players need to step on each of the tiles and reach the end tile to complete it. The game features a similar layout but with a fixed number of tiles, marked from 1 to 10 and the last time which is the 10th one has a different mark from the others.
Hopscotch Puzzle #1
The First hopscotch puzzle is located next to the Gestral Baths expedition flag, near the Esquie puzzle Half-baked Lifeguard. Being the first puzzle, it is easy to complete because of the compact structure of the tiles. You just need to jump from each tile to another tile until you reach the end of it. One can also just walk across them. The sequence to be followed is 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10. After completing the puzzle, you will be rewarded with a haircut for Verso that says Chic and actually is a hat.
Hopscotch Puzzle #2
Moving forward, our second Hopscotch Puzzle is located near the Toy Boat Gestral group in the Verso’s Draft. Find the water body that looks more like a water amusement park. Once reached, you will see two Half-Baked Gestrals in the water, near the wooden body. Interact with them and answer Golgra’s Lateral Jump Frenzy. Once done, you will be able to start your Hopscotch challenge.
Some of the tiles for this challenge are drowned under the water. While Tile number 1 and 2 are on the ground, the others are sinked. Make sure that you have stepped on each of them because the visibility is lower. To complete the puzzle, step on each of them and move forward till you reach the last tile. For the completion of this puzzle, you will be rewarded with a Chic haircut for Maelle.
Hopscotch Puzzle #3
The third Hopscotch Puzzle is located in the Candy Land expedition flag in Verso’s Draft. To each of the Hopscotch tiles, descend via the light rope nearby and turn right upon landing. There you will find a candy jar that needs to be broken with Pain Break. To obtain the pain break, players need to find 4 of the lost Gestrals. Breaking the Candy jar will reveal a hidden path. From there, just enter the tunnel and hop across the candies to reach the spot.
The Hopscotch tiles are compactly arranged but the twist is that the tiles are floating on air. Be careful on your steps and avoid over jumping on the tiles. Lastly, we have our fourth Hopscotch puzzle and also the toughest one to complete. Many expeditioners are mostly stuck at the 5th tile of this specific puzzle. The location for the Hopscotch Puzzle #4 is right in front of the Ginger Bread Door. Here are the locations and how to find each of the tiles for this challenge:
Tile 1 | The first tile is placed right in front of the Ginger bread door where you will start the puzzle. |
Tile 2 | From there, you will see a rock on the left of the door. Go behind that rock to find the 2nd tile. |
Tile 3 | After stepping on the 2nd tile, come back to the door and from there go straight to the tree with the spotlight from the sun rays. |
Tile 4 | The 4th tile is to be found under the shown tree. |
Tile 5 | From there, head to the pathway where you will come across a small ledge. Climb the ledge and you will find the 5th tile in front of you. |
Tile 6 | Then move to the broken bridge and walk across the cave to reach the sixth tile. |
Tile 7 | As shown in the picture, go behind the tree to find the 7th tile. |
Tile 8 | From there come back to the Tile 3’s location, move right where you will spot an enemy monster. Defeat it to reach the 8th tile. |
Tile 9 | From the starting point, follow this pathway to reach the 9th tile. |
Tile 10 | Again from the starting point, head to the huge tree where you will complete your puzzle with the last tile. |
