Elden Ring Nightreign is one of the more popular RPGs, with its large and harder-than-usual difficulty being two of the largest contributors. The game has multiple types of enemies and several powerful bosses that aren’t so straightforward to beat. Day-three bosses, in particular, can give some players a run for their money, because players must strategize to defeat them rather than taking them head-on. Fortunately, every boss has at least one weakness or limitation that can be used to defeat them without too much risk. Here’s a guide that breaks down all

Gladius
Gladius is one of the easiest Elden Ring Nightreign bosses and likely the first boss that players will defeat after they get the game through LootBar. His weakness to Holy damage is always active. This means players can use Holy spells, Holy-infused weapons, or Holy-related buffs to deal substantial damage to the boss, which is excellent, considering players can find Holy camps in the first two days fairly easily.
It’s even better when Gladius merges into his three-dog form, because his weakness to Holy attacks can easily break his stance. Simply put, just spamming Holy damage attacks against this boss is the best strategy as it exploits his weakness completely. He’s also weak to the sleep affinity, but finding sleep-inflicting weapons and skills isn’t nearly as easy. Fire attacks are useless against Gladius, which makes sense given that the boss is a creature made up of flames.
Adel
Adel is a formidable opponent, in large part because of his swift attacks that are hard to dodge. This boss is almost always on the move, which can make landing reliable attacks on him tough. While Adel is also resistant to most elements, he has a weakness to most afflictions, including poison, sleep, scarlet rot, and even bleed. In particular, poison attacks cause the boss to halt his current attack and start puking, giving you and your teammates a way to reliably deal damage.
When trying to take on Adel, it’s important to use a fast damage-dealing poison weapon, while conserving your stamina to ensure that you can roll out of the way whenever a quick attack is directed at you. The Serpent Bow may be the best weapon to use on this boss, since it’s ranged and also deals consistent poison damage, letting you afflict poison from a safe distance. This will also let you avoid getting headbutted by Adel’s combo.
Gnoster
Gnoster is made up of two creatures, a moth and a scorpion, both are weak to fire. They are also susceptible to statuses such as bleed, frostbite, and rot. Players can use fire-infused bows, and fire grease can prove to be very beneficial in a fight against him. A fire-infused weapon would be preferred because the grease can run out mid-fight.
The moth can simply be burned over time using fire, but the scorpion is tougher. The Scorpion’s attacks are also stronger and must be avoided, as they take a chunk of HP. The best way to go would be to take out the moth first so that you can move to the scorpion, overwhelming it with numbers.
Maris
Maris is one of the tougher bosses in Elden Ring Nightreign because he doesn’t have many weaknesses. His immunity to other elements leaves only the lightning, which can be exploited to defeat him. However, the boss is resistant to strike and pierce attacks, so a slashing weapon is optimal when going hunting for him.
Mairs is also immune to bleed and poison, but magic is a useful attack against him, because the boss spends much of his time floating in the air. Players who have lightning-based skills and spells can use this opportunity to attack using them and defeat him with ease. Just don’t forget to avoid his falling bubble attack, as it can wipe out your entire team.
Libra
Libra has a unique weakness, as all the other bosses are immune to madness, but this specific boss can be taken down using the element. Unfortunately, madness weapons are rare in the game, so those who aren’t lucky enough to get a madness-infused weapon or spell can use Fire or Holy attacks to put a dent in his health. The boss is also susceptible to bloodloss and frostbite statuses.
Libra is quite strong, so it's recommended to keep a ranged team member on standby so they start attacking if the group is getting overpowered. If you don’t have madness, then just focus on ensuring he can’t enter his empowered state by destroying all of the circular spells when he starts meditating.
Fulghor
Fulghor is a centaur who charges at his opponents and hits them with a ground slam using his gigantic spear. The boss has a weakness to lightning attacks, but is resistant to Holy attacks, which he himself also uses. Using lightning attacks against him will stun him if he is using his charged attack, allowing players to spam attacks and drop his HP.
Fire and bleed can also be used against Fulghor, as the boss has a sensitivity to them. The boss is significantly fast, and his Holy attacks deal substantial damage, so it's recommended to avoid them or risk losing HP. This fight is more reliant on how well you can avoid his AoE and charge attacks.
Caligo
Caligo has a weakness to fire and is partially resistant to all other elements. The dragon is also weaker against strike attacks, so a fire-infused blunt weapon would be recommended. Ranged attacks aimed at the dragon’s head can also be good, along with fire spells cast from a distance. The dragon also has a particular weakness to bleed status, which can be used to inflict damage.
Caligo’s breath attacks are particularly strong, so melee players must stay near her feet to avoid losing HP. It's also important to move continuously, or a buildup of frostbite will cause damage to the player. It may be a good idea to go with the Mountaintop shifting earth so that you get some innate frost-resistance.
Heolstor
Heolstor's weakness is Holy damage in both his Shape of Night and true form phases. The boss has two other weaknesses, one for each form that can deal as much damage as Holy attacks. Shape of Night is weak to fire, while Heolstor's true form is weak to lightning, which are both elements that you can find easily.
Heolstor is also susceptible to Pierce damage, making Ironeye a great option against him. Bleed and Frostbite are attacks useless against him because he’s immune to them. Elden Ring Nightreign’s final boss is strong but can be taken down with proper planning. Hoelstor is also considered one of the best bosses in any Soulslike game, and if you want to test this for yourself, then you can buy an Elden Ring Nightreign Steam key and rate his fight.
Conclusion
Using each Elden Ring Nightreign’s boss’s weakness against them is the best way to eliminate them to reach the final boss, Heolstor. Taking on Heolstor isn’t easy, especially because he has two forms. Like every other Soulslike game, it makes sense that challenging and overcoming bosses by figuring out their attack patterns and weaknesses is how to properly enjoy the game, and those who don’t have it yet can check LootBar and change that.
