How many bosses does Black Myth: Wukong Chapter 3 have?
Black Myth: Wukong’s third chapter has 22 bosses. Of course, this isn’t counting multiple-phase bosses. While a good chunk of these bosses are mandatory, which means that you’ll go through them naturally when you buy a Black Myth: Wukong key and play the game, many of these bosses are optional.
To be more specific, there are eight mandatory bosses that you have to tackle. These include the dreaded Yellowbrow, as well as the two Macaque Chief encounters. As for the optional bosses, there are fourteen that you can choose to fight. While not mandatory, they can still help you get some much-needed experience and valuable materials. Of course, we’ll mention which bosses drop valuable items for you to get.

Green-Capped Martialist | Valley of Ecstasy (Melon Field) |
Yin Tiger | Zodiac Village |
The most valuable boss over here has to be the Cyan Loong, who drops useful materials that players can use to construct new weapons. He also drops the Loong Pearl that you can eventually use to make the Loong Staff. It’s a tough fight, but it’s definitely worth doing.
Then, there’s the Yin Tiger. While he’s the hardest boss in this chapter by a long shot, we highly recommend that you try to beat him. This is because he drops a slew of awesome rewards, including:
The Ebon Flow Transformation spell
An extra Curio slot
You should also go for the Green-Capped Martialist for the Spell-Binder spell. He’s also required if you want to fight the secret boss at the end of the game, so that’s something to look forward to.
You can access the secret boss in the third chapter, too. However, he requires you to complete some prerequisites first, which will take you until the last chapter. Therefore, he isn’t counted as a boss of this chapter. Though we do recommend that you eventually face this boss, since his fight is awesome enough to make anyone want to buy Black Myth: Wukong after one look.
Conclusion
Chapter 3 of Black Myth: Wukong may be one of the longest in the game. But that fact makes sense when you consider how many awesome bosses you can face. Every boss brings something new to the table, and it’s recommended to try and 100% this chapter to ensure you go into the next chapter with a level and item advantage.
