Most Popular Male Hero of 2025
Based on my previous surveys, the most popular male heroes in AFK Journey were Phraesto, followed by Eironn and Dionel. Phraesto and Bonnie was voted the Most Popular Couple in all of Esperia in 2024.
However, move aside Phraesto. There is the new Wolf on the block and the most popular male hero should indisputably go to Faramor! How can you miss out on him?
Meta Relevance: PvE
Faramor is an incredibly powerful and well-rounded character in PvE especially AFK Stages. Faramor can buff Ulmus which also does True Damage. Ulmus and Eironn controls the enemies stunning them and preventing them from healing. In addition, Faramor does extra damage whilst preventing enemies from healing using his skills:
- Bitter Requeim
This skill triggers every second and provides additional Faramor True Damage exceeding other powerful heroes like Harak. He can go get additional buffs to extend his magic circle to benefit allies.
- Sanctified Circle skill
His true damage skills will do massive damage. Further enemies within his circle are unable to heal. Most enemies will rarely exit the circle. He can regenerate his enemies as he takes and/or deals damage.
Meta Relevance: PvP (Arena)
Paramor, oops I mean Faramor can be used to good effect in Arena II and Arena V. Faramor provides the initial attack buff to Lily May via Sacred Pledge. Faramor is placed far behind to prevent him from moving upfront and being sniped off by the enemy team. Bonnie provides extra damage and debuffs the enemies whereas Tasi acts as a disruptor and can revive. Dunlingr acts a strong tank.
Tragic Backstory
Faramor's homeland was ravaged by a Graveborn induced anomaly, destroying the land and claiming many lives. This tragedy led him to leave and pursue the truth, determined to find the culprit. Tracing the Graveborn's trail, Faramor arrived at Whiteridge, where he joined the "undead hunters", a secret group from the Lightbearer Empire. He was its first Wilder member.
He named his sacred tome the "Book of Radiance". It contains nearly all known knowledge about the undead and the Graveborn. Faramor is gentle and kind, and he possesses exceptional etiquette and composure. He places high importance on keeping his fur clean and well-groomed. His heightened sense of smell is both a gift and a burden. After all, no one enjoys detecting unpleasant odors from hundreds of meters away.
As a Wilder, Faramor has a natural affinity for plants and is skilled in herbal remedies. He also invented a special ointment for fur care.Back in his homeland, Faramor, like other Wilders, fought using the power of nature. Now, as an undead hunter, he combines that with Divine Light, creating his own unique combat style.
After his original weapon was destroyed in the catastrophe in his homeland, Faramor forged a new blade, incorporating materials imbued with the power of light and parts of his old weapon into the hilt.Faramor named his weapon "Oathheart" as a reminder never to forget the vow he made—to personally capture the Graveborn responsible for his homeland's devastation. Who was the Graveborn in question? Well, she is the one that fights while sitting down.

Evaluation of Skills and Abilities
Faramor brings divine punishment to the battlefield with his relentless magic circle and support capabilities. His kit blends area denial, sustained pressure, and team empowerment, making him a powerhouse in both offense and utility roles. His skills as follows:
- Sanctified Circle (Ultimate)
Faramor summons a glowing 1-tile zone that shuts down healing, dealing true damage over time and scaling bonus damage based on enemies' lost HP. It drains energy to maintain, but ends if no enemies remain inside. At higher levels, both the initial burst and tick damage ramp up significantly.
- Glory's Embrace
A smite and shield combo—Faramor empowers his weapon to strike his target while gaining a durable shield. If he’s boosted by allies, the attack converts to true damage, hitting even harder.
- Sacred Pledge
Before battle, Faramor blesses a nearby ally, giving both increased attack power for 10 seconds that auto-refreshes. Every 3 seconds, the pair emits a shockwave that damages and stuns enemies within 1 tile.
- Hero Focus
A passive Haste boost that improves his skill frequency and responsiveness. Scales with level upgrades.
- Bitter Requiem (Mythic+)
While Sanctified Circle is active, Faramor swaps his basic attacks to Glory’s Embrace, and allies inside the circle deal bonus true damage. At high gear levels, the circle can expand and buff Faramor further when enemies die inside it.
- Enhance Force (Supreme+)
If enemies revive inside the circle, their Vitality is reduced, making it harder for them to survive a second time.
Conclusion
Faramor is ideal for players who enjoy tactical zoning, healing denial, and scaling support damage. He punishes clustered enemies, boosts teammates, and controls the battlefield with sacred precision.
With the new collaboration with Fairy Tale coming up soon in less than 2 weeks and Faramor being an incredible character in terms of charisma and usefulness, now is the best time for AFK Journey top up. Wishing you happy gaming in the weeks ahead.
